Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance is the 2024 Netflix anime behind the reported Top 10 appearance. CBR reported that it recorded 5.8 million hours watched, but Netflix’s available official pages confirm the series and its release—not that weekly figure or chart placement.
Which Gundam anime is the report about?
The title is Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance, a six-episode anime series released on Netflix in 2024. Netflix’s official title page identifies the series and describes its One Year War story.
What does the 5.8 million figure mean?
CBR reported the 5.8-million-hours-watched figure in a headline dated October 24, 2024, reproduced in an IMDb news result. It is a reported hours figure, not a count of unique viewers. The Netflix pages available for confirmation do not independently establish the number, the chart row, or the precise weekly period behind it; it should therefore be attributed to CBR rather than presented as an officially verified Netflix statistic.
What is the series about?
The story unfolds on the European front during the One Year War, a conflict also depicted in the original Gundam series. Netflix’s synopsis places the action eleven months into U.C. 0079 and follows Captain Solari, a Zeon Zaku II pilot, as she faces the Earth Federation’s Gundam. Netflix’s Media Center announcement describes the conflict between Zeon and the Federation and notes the stalemate after Zeon fails to take control of the whole Earth.
