When is Gremlins 3 coming out?
Warner Bros. has scheduled Gremlins 3 for theaters on October 6, 2028, according to TheWrap’s September 23, 2026 report. That replaces the earlier November 19, 2027 date reported when the project was first announced in 2025. The earlier date is no longer current.

TheWrap’s 2026 report says Hannah Marks is writing the current draft from that screenplay. The Amblin project listing names Columbus among the filmmakers and producers.
Who is producing Gremlins 3?
Amblin lists Kristie Macosko Krieger and Holly Bario as producers for Amblin, alongside Columbus and Michael Barnathan and Mark Radcliffe of 26th Street Pictures. Steven Spielberg is returning as executive producer, according to Amblin.

What is known about the story and cast?
The cited announcements and reporting do not establish a plot synopsis or cast. The “Feasting After Midnight” phrase is a playful franchise reference, not evidence of a particular story. Until Warner Bros. or the filmmakers announce more, claims about characters, returning actors or plot events should be treated as speculation.

The first two films are Gremlins (1984) and Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990), both directed by Joe Dante. Columbus wrote the first film. Its creature rules—keep Mogwai away from bright light and water, and never feed them after midnight—are among the series’ best-known elements. For a refresher, Warner Bros. Japan’s catalog entry for the original film lists a two-disc 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray set released November 20, 2019, as well as Blu-ray and DVD editions. Those are editions of the 1984 movie, not a Gremlins 3 release; availability and compatibility vary by market and format.
