Yes. Gordon Ramsay Wines launched a Californian collection in 2021, developed with Seabold Cellars. Ramsay also has a separate Italian Collection associated with winemaker Alberto Antonini. The collaborations establish branded wine projects, but do not show that Ramsay owns vineyards or personally makes the wine.
What was Gordon Ramsay’s 2021 wine launch?
The namesake Californian portfolio was announced in March 2021. The launch announcement identified Chris Miller, a Master Sommelier and winemaker at Seabold Cellars in Monterey, as its winemaking collaborator. The official brand site also names Seabold Cellars collaborator Nick Dumergue. WineBusiness.com’s launch announcement and the official Gordon Ramsay Wines site describe the project.
The launch announcement described eight wines spanning Monterey, Sonoma County and Napa Valley:
- Monterey Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir
- Sonoma County Reserve Chardonnay
- Three Cabernet Sauvignons, including a Napa Valley Reserve
At launch, the wines were announced for online sale at a historical price range of $20–$60 per bottle. That 2021 figure is not a current price. Contemporary trade coverage also reported planned sales in Ramsay restaurants, but it does not establish what is listed there now. The Drinks Business reported on the launch and its sales channels.
Who makes the wine, and what does “his own” mean?
The sources present the Californian wines as a collaboration with Seabold Cellars, not as proof that Ramsay owns vineyards or personally carries out the winemaking. The official site says the wines use grapes from sustainable and organic-practicing vineyards, native-yeast fermentation, limited intervention, restrained oak, little-to-no fining or filtration, and minimal sulfur. It also describes the wines as 100% vegan. These are the brand’s own production and product claims, not independently verified certifications or test findings.
Ramsay’s interest in the project is expressed in statements published by the brand. He says wine brings together “tradition, art, science, land, and people,” and describes the Californian wines as designed to pair with food or be enjoyed on their own. Those quotations convey the brand’s positioning, rather than independent assessments of the wines.

How is the Italian Collection different?
The Italian Collection is a distinct project, rather than another name for the Seabold-made Californian portfolio. Benchmark Drinks associates it with Italian winemaker Alberto Antonini and currently names Pinot Grigio and Intenso Rosso. A retailer’s launch page describes a red, white and rosé range, so sources differ on the assortment; they do not establish one definitive lineup for every market or period.
| Collection | Origin and wines named | Production partner |
|---|---|---|
| Californian collection | California; the 2021 launch announcement listed eight wines across Monterey, Sonoma County and Napa Valley. | Seabold Cellars; the official site names Chris Miller and Nick Dumergue. |
| Italian Collection | Italy; Benchmark Drinks names Pinot Grigio and Intenso Rosso, while a retailer launch page describes red, white and rosé. | Associated with winemaker Alberto Antonini. |

Where can you buy Gordon Ramsay wine now?
The launch coverage establishes that online and restaurant sales were planned in 2021, not that a particular bottle is currently in stock or ships to your location. The official site includes older vintage entries, such as Monterey Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Monterey Chardonnay 2018 and Sonoma County Reserve Chardonnay 2018; those listings do not confirm current vintages or availability. Check the official site or a retailer serving your market for the specific bottle, vintage, price and delivery eligibility before ordering.

The documented launches establish two branded collections, their collaborators and some named wines. They do not provide a basis for a blind-tasting verdict, a quality ranking between the California and Italian wines, or a current value comparison. The launch-era price range applies only to the 2021 Californian release; current prices and stock are not established by these sources.
