The promotion began on March 4, 2026, added quizzes and digital rewards over a three-week rollout, and reached its album-release phase on March 20. To try the experience, search BTS on Google and look for the small bottle or ship-in-a-bottle icon near the bottom of the results page.
That campaign was tied to the March comeback, however. The published launch sources do not confirm that the hunt still appears in August 2026, so a missing icon may mean the promotion has ended rather than that you are using the wrong link.

How to open the BTS Search hunt
- Open Google Search in a normal browser.
- Search for BTS.
- Look near the bottom of the results page for a small bottle or ship-in-a-bottle icon.
- Select the icon to open the BTS- and ARMY-themed quizzes.
- Answer the questions and follow the on-screen prompts to unlock the available digital rewards.
The entry point and icon were reported by Daily Tribune. Google’s own announcement describes the feature as a Search Easter egg built around quizzes, challenges and rewards.
On a phone
Secondary coverage reported that tapping the icon on a mobile device could open the experience directly. The exact interface may change, and Google has not published a guarantee that the same mobile flow remains active after the promotion.

One reported desktop flow displayed a QR code and directed the player to continue on a phone. That behavior comes from secondary coverage, not a universal requirement stated in Google’s announcement.
What the experience contained
Google presented the promotion as a way to answer questions about BTS, the group’s music and ARMY while collecting rewards. Reported challenges drew on BTS’s career, songs, lyrics and milestones, with content released in stages rather than all at once.

Daily Tribune reported that the campaign included 14 collectible cards featuring ARIRANG tracklist artwork, with song titles written in the members’ handwriting. Google’s official post confirms that rewards were part of the experience but does not, in its accessible description, enumerate all 14 cards. Treat the number and artwork details as reported campaign information rather than a separately published Google specification.

Google described the quizzes and rewards as arriving over three weeks. The March 9 and March 16 unlock dates come from secondary reporting and should not be read as independently confirmed Google timetable entries.

Is the BTS scavenger hunt still available?
The original sources establish a March 2026 launch and a staged rollout connected to the March 20 album release. They do not establish that the bottle icon, quizzes, cards or progress tracking remain available in August 2026.
If searching BTS no longer produces the icon, the most likely explanations are that Google retired the promotional feature, limited it by region or search surface, or changed the results interface. Google Search Easter eggs are not necessarily permanent products.
If the icon does not appear
- Confirm that the query is simply BTS, rather than a news- or image-specific search.
- Try Google Search in a standard mobile browser.
- Open a private or incognito window.
- If the page appears incomplete, temporarily disable an aggressive content blocker and reload.
- Try another browser or device. Secondary coverage suggested these steps, but Google does not list them as official requirements.
Do not assume that changing countries or languages will restore the hunt; availability by region has not been established. If none of these attempts works, the campaign may simply no longer be active.

Secondary coverage described closing and reopening the session as a possible way to restore a counter or progress display. That is an anecdotal workaround, not a documented Google support procedure.

- Do not assume progress is permanently saved unless Google explicitly says it is.
- Use Google’s normal domain and avoid pages or downloads claiming to provide exclusive BTS cards or prizes.
The available sources do not establish whether a Google account was required, whether progress was tied to account activity, or what data the experience collected. Do not infer a sign-in requirement—or its absence—from the launch reports.
Do you need an app?
No download was required to attempt the Search promotion; it was accessed through Google Search. BTS Island: In the SEOM is a separate official mobile game with its own in-app purchases and is not the Google Search scavenger hunt. Installing it will not substitute for the Search Easter egg.
What to expect now
The safest way to check is still to search BTS on Google and look for the bottle icon. If it appears, follow the prompts and treat the displayed rewards and rules as authoritative for that session. If it does not, the March 2026 promotional window may have closed; there is no confirmed permanent page or standalone app for this hunt.
