Google Play Points did offer eligible U.S. members free, ad-supported Disney+ and/or Hulu subscriptions—but the promotion was limited-time, and its maximum 12-month term applied to Diamond members, not everyone. Announced October 24, 2024, it may no longer be available. Check your own Google Play account’s Perks tab before counting on it.
What the promotion offered
The reported U.S. promotion was a temporary Play Points perk for eligible members at Gold level or higher. Its term varied by level:

The promotion was reported as available to new subscribers and “while supplies last.” The original coverage describes Disney+ and/or Hulu—not a guaranteed combined subscription for every member. The offer was also for ad-supported plans, not a promise of commercial-free streaming.

How to check whether it is available to you
- Open the Google Play Store app on Android.
- Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner.
- Tap Play Points, then Perks.
- Look for a Disney+, Hulu, or related partner offer. Open it and read its plan, duration, signup deadline, eligibility, and billing terms.
Use the Google account that holds the Play Points membership. Google’s partner-voucher instructions put these offers under Perks. If the offer is absent, there is no basis to assume you can claim it through a universal link.
To check your level, open Play Points → More → Level benefits. Google lists these U.S. annual thresholds: Gold, 600–2,999 points; Platinum, 3,000–9,999; and Diamond, 10,000 or more. Eligibility and the fine print
- Membership and level: The reported offer was for Play Points members at Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. It was not a general free trial for all Google Play users.
- New subscribers: The promotion was described as intended for new subscribers. Existing or former subscriptions may not qualify; do not cancel an active plan on the assumption that doing so will make you eligible.
- Country and account: This was a U.S. offer. Google says Play Points benefits and offers vary by country and account; your Google Play country and account eligibility matter.
- Ads and service choice: The reported plans were ad-supported, and the offer may list one service or both. Check the actual voucher rather than assuming both are included.
- Availability and dates: It was limited-time and subject to availability. The offer page—not an old headline—determines whether a claim window remains open.

Not necessarily. The Disney+/Hulu promotion was described as a perk or partner offer, not as a standard reward with a published points price. Google handles partner vouchers in Perks separately from points-based coupons or credit. Do not assume a points cost—or that spending points will unlock the promotion—unless your own offer page says so.

Before you activate
Read the redemption terms before starting, especially if you already have a streaming subscription or pay through another provider. Follow the activation flow using the account specified by the offer, then confirm which Disney+ or Hulu account received the entitlement. Save the confirmation email or a screenshot and check the streaming service’s account page for the promotional end date and renewal terms.
Do not assume that every version renews in the same way or that it will automatically apply to an existing subscription. If you do not want to continue at a paid rate, note the renewal date and cancel through the billing provider identified in your subscription settings or confirmation. Check the offer and checkout terms for any payment method requirement, post-promotion price, and cancellation rules; current prices were not established by the historical promotion details.

If the offer is missing or access does not work
- No offer in Perks: Check that the right Google account is selected. You may be below the qualifying level, outside the eligible country, ineligible as a new subscriber, or the offer may have ended or reached its availability limit. Google says offer display can depend on location and eligibility.
- You have an existing subscription: Read the terms before changing or canceling anything. The promotion may not apply to an existing account, a subscription billed through another provider, or a plan bundled elsewhere.
- You claimed it but cannot stream: Confirm which Google account claimed the perk and which streaming account was used during activation. Check the service’s account or subscription page, sign out and back in, and look for the promotional end date. Avoid claiming a second time unless the offer explicitly allows it.
- You changed Play country: Country-specific benefits can differ, and Google warns that changing the Play billing country can affect Play Points and level progress. See Google’s points and country guidance.
Google says Play Points cannot be transferred between accounts, so treat a voucher as account-specific unless its own terms say otherwise. If the entitlement remains unclear, use the confirmation details when contacting Google Play or the streaming provider.

If you cannot claim it
Check Disney+ or Hulu’s official sites for current plans and introductory offers, or review the Play Store’s broader Offers area. Those promotions have their own eligibility, billing, and renewal rules; they are not equivalent to the old Play Points perk. If the offer is not on your account, joining Play Points now does not guarantee that it will appear.

For U.S. members, Google currently lists Bronze at 1 point per dollar, with higher base rates at higher levels, but membership and earning points are not a reliable way to obtain this expired-or-unconfirmed streaming deal. See the U.S. Play Points guide for point rules and expiration details.
