What happens in the season 3 trailer?
The trailer picks up after Will has been gone for six months following his arrest of his girlfriend, Angie. Amanda tells him, “Time to come home.” Faith, who has taken over Will’s office, throws a stapler at him because he left without telling anyone where he was.
Will’s return also brings his grief over Angie into focus as the trailer introduces new cases and characters. When Will identifies himself, he insists, “Let’s be clear: it’s Special Agent Will Trent.” These are lines spoken by characters in the trailer, not quotes from real-life interviews.
