Yes. Georgie and Mandy are still together at the end of Season 1. The finale leaves their marriage strained, not ended: they finish in the kitchen aware of the problems between them and still willing to work through them.
What happens in the Season 1 finale?
The two-part finale is titled “Guilt Boots” and “Big Decisions.” In CBS’s March 20, 2025 announcement, Georgie panics when Jim considers selling the tire store to a rival, while Mandy has to face a long-running lie. In the second part, Georgie learns the truth about Mandy’s boss and tries to buy the shop before Jim sells it.
Georgie secures a bank loan and buys McAllister Auto & Tire from Jim, with Ruben joining him as a business partner. Mandy’s boss, Scott, is her former boyfriend, and Georgie is upset that she hid that from him. The conflict therefore reaches both their finances and their trust in each other.
Why is their marriage under pressure?
The shop purchase gives Georgie a major new responsibility, while Mandy has a new job. Those successes do not automatically make their life together easier: showrunner Steve Holland said the career changes would make it harder for them to find time as a couple and would complicate the relationship. Scott’s presence and Georgie’s jealousy add to the strain.

The finale leaves those problems open rather than resolving them. Their business responsibilities, the secret about Scott, and the couple’s other tensions remain part of the story going forward.
What does the final kitchen scene mean?
The closing scene is not a breakup or confirmation that Mandy plans to leave. Emily Osment described it as Georgie and Mandy together in the kitchen, recognizing that they have problems to fix but still love each other. Holland likewise said, “In the end, there is a deep love there.”

That makes the ending hopeful without making it a clean resolution: they are together, and they have work to do. The title “First Marriage” points toward an ongoing portrayal of difficulties in their relationship, not proof that they have split by the Season 1 finale.
