When did Gabourey Sidibe announce she was expecting twins?
Sidibe and Frankel shared the pregnancy news in a joint Instagram post on February 27, 2024. Sidibe wrote, “I’m pregnant!” and joked, “We thought it was time to give our cats some responsibility so we’re giving them each a baby to take care of!” The caption added, “Twin Delivery coming soon! Twenty Twinty Four!!” ABC News reported on the announcement.
Have the twins arrived, and what are their names?
Yes. On June 10, 2024, ABC News reported that the couple had announced the twins’ arrival and named them Cooper and Maya. They said the babies arrived in April, writing, “Our babies arrived in April and brought so much life and excitement into our existence.” They also said, “We are so grateful and honored to be their parents.” The couple described their first two months with the twins as a joyful time of getting to know their distinct personalities. Who is Brandon Frankel?
Frankel is Sidibe’s husband. According to ABC News, the couple became engaged in 2020 and married at their kitchen table in 2021; Sidibe disclosed the marriage publicly in December 2022. ABC News’ February 2024 report covered the marriage timeline alongside the pregnancy announcement.
