G Flip’s wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds Sydney on 13 August 2025. The attraction describes the musician as Australia’s first non-binary celebrity to be immortalised in wax; the claim is specific to Australia, not a worldwide first.
When was G Flip’s wax figure announced and unveiled?
Madame Tussauds Sydney announced the planned figure on 17 October 2024, then reported its unveiling on 13 August 2025. The attraction’s announcement described G Flip as an Australian drummer, singer, songwriter and producer. Madame Tussauds Sydney’s 2024 announcement and its 2025 unveiling update document those milestones.
At the announcement, G Flip said, “Representation has never been more important and it’s a true honour to be the first non-binary celebrity to have their own wax figure at Madame Tussauds Sydney.” At the 2025 reveal, they described the result as “extremely wild” and said they were “very stoked” to be the first non-binary wax figure in Australia. Both statements were made in the context of the attraction’s announcements.
What does the figure look like, and where is it displayed?
The figure is in the Sydney Live music zone at Madame Tussauds Sydney, staged as an interactive drum performance. The attraction says its look draws on G Flip’s DRUMMER-era and ARIA Awards styling. The display includes a Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple drum kit. The attraction’s G Flip page describes the exhibit.

Visitors may sit at the kit and play, according to the attraction. This is an interactive exhibit rather than just a figure posed behind a set of drums.
How was the wax figure made?
Madame Tussauds’ 2024 announcement said G Flip completed a seven-hour sitting in Sydney, during which the team took 100 measurements and 300 photographs. The attraction then estimated the figure would take about ten months to create, including approximately 170 hours of sculpting. These were the attraction’s figures and estimates at the time.

In its 2025 reveal update, Madame Tussauds said the completed figure involved more than 100 measurements, 300 reference photographs and 170 hours of sculpting. The two announcements describe the process at different stages, so the 2024 estimates and the later account should not be treated as independent measurements.
