1. Tubi
Tubi Live TV is a free, ad-supported service available through a web browser and many smart TVs and streaming devices. Its sports lineup can include FOX Sports programming, the NFL Channel, fubo Sports Network, and other sports-focused channels.
To find the sports guide:
- Open Tubi and select Live TV.
- Browse the guide or search for a channel such as NFL Channel.
- Select the channel or event.
- Create or sign in to a free Tubi account if the stream requests one.
Tubi’s channel listings are not the same as a full FOX network feed. A FOX-branded channel does not guarantee access to every NFL, college, soccer, or other event shown on FOX. Rights can also be restricted to the United States or to particular devices.

Tubi has announced limited free coverage connected with the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the U.S., including the opening ceremony and two selected matches in 4K on supported devices. That is an event-specific arrangement, not free access to the entire tournament.
2. Pluto TV
Pluto TV offers free, ad-supported live channels without a conventional cable subscription. Its sports category is most useful for sports news, analysis, highlights, classic games, replays, and selected niche events.
- Open Pluto TV.
- Select Live TV or open the channel guide.
- Choose the Sports category.
- Select a program currently marked as live.
Think of Pluto TV as a free channel bundle rather than a replacement for a paid sports package. A channel may discuss a live game, show a replay, or carry selected events while the league’s main schedule remains exclusive to a paid broadcaster.
3. The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel aggregates more than 500 free live-TV channels, including sports channels. It is available on Roku devices and, where supported, through the web.
On a Roku device, use this path:
- From the Home screen, open The Roku Channel.
- Select Live TV.
- Open the Live TV Channel Guide.
- Browse to Sports.
- Select a channel and press OK.
Read the listing carefully. The Roku Channel also displays channels and services that may require a separate subscription. A lock icon, purchase prompt, or subscription message means the program is not part of the free tier.

Do not confuse CBS Sports HQ with the entire CBS Sports Network feed. Individual tiles may lead to free streams, provider-authenticated broadcasts, or subscription programming. NFL games, Champions League matches, college events, and other marquee broadcasts can have separate access requirements.
5. FIFA+
FIFA+ is an official football platform with selected live matches, archives, documentaries, and original programming. It is particularly useful when you want international competitions or football content outside the largest domestic broadcast packages.

- Select Live, or look for live-event cards on the home page.
- Choose an event marked live or upcoming.
- Sign in if the service requests an account.
A competition available on FIFA+ in one country may not be available live in the United States. Local broadcast exclusivity can remove a match from the U.S. schedule even when FIFA+ has rights elsewhere. Check the service’s live listing rather than relying on a search result or archive page.
6. Red Bull TV
Red Bull TV is one of the better free choices for viewers interested in sports beyond the major U.S. leagues. Its live-event calendar can include mountain biking, motorsports, surfing, skateboarding, cliff diving, skiing, snowboarding, padel, and related action sports.

- Open Red Bull TV’s Live Events page.
- Choose an event marked Upcoming Live Stream or currently live.
- Open the event information page and select the play option when available.
Geographic restrictions are common. An event shown on Red Bull’s global site may be unavailable in the U.S. because another broadcaster holds the local rights.
7. ESPN3, if your provider includes it
ESPN3 is not universally free. Some customers of participating internet or television providers receive ESPN3 access without buying a separate ESPN subscription. This can include selected college sports and other events.

- Open ESPN Watch and select the ESPN3 event.
- Choose Log In or the provider-authentication option.
- Select your internet or TV provider.
- Enter the provider’s username and password.
A free ESPN account alone normally does not unlock provider-authenticated ESPN3 content. If your provider is not listed, ESPN may show a subscription or login requirement.
8. NFL Channel
The NFL Channel is a free, always-on source of NFL programming available through the NFL app and partner platforms such as Tubi, Pluto TV, Roku, Peacock, Plex, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Xumo, and others.
It offers replays, highlights, original shows, analysis, and live game-day coverage. The important distinction is that the NFL says NFL Channel carries no live NFL games. “Live game-day coverage” means real-time scores, statistics, highlights, and updates—not the live video broadcast of the game itself.

Free local sports: an antenna may be the better answer
For major events, free over-the-air television is often more dependable than searching through streaming sites. A suitable antenna can receive local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and other broadcast stations without a monthly fee. Depending on your market and the schedule, those stations may carry NFL games, college sports, NASCAR, soccer, MLB games, and major national events.

This is not technically online streaming, and the antenna is a one-time hardware purchase. However, it can provide the most straightforward legal access to games assigned to local broadcast networks. Use a TV antenna availability tool or check your local station listings before buying equipment.
Free trials are not permanently free services
YouTube TV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, and DIRECTV STREAM sometimes promote free trials or introductory pricing. These are paid subscriptions with temporary offers, not free sports-streaming sites.
Before starting a trial, check:
- How many days the trial lasts.
- Whether a payment method is required.
- The exact date and price of the first bill.
- Which sports networks and local stations are included.
- Whether you are eligible as a new or returning customer.
For example, a sports promotion may advertise a 10-day YouTube TV trial for eligible new users, followed by the regular subscription price. Offers and terms change, so read the current promotion immediately before signing up and cancel before renewal if you do not want the paid plan.

Legal free platforms are usually clear about the company operating them, the channels they carry, and the event being offered. Be cautious when a site promises every current pay-TV game, pay-per-view event, and premium league for nothing.

Warning signs include:
- A request to install an unknown video player, browser extension, APK, or add-on.
- Repeated pop-ups, redirects, or fake download buttons.

Check the specific game, not just the service

- Search that provider’s official live guide for the event.
- Confirm whether the listing says free, provider-authenticated, subscription-only, or unavailable in your location.
