The promotion covered Michael Bay’s first four films: Transformers (2007), Revenge of the Fallen (2009), Dark of the Moon (2011), and Age of Extinction (2014).
That Pluto TV promotion should not be treated as a permanent offer. As of August 10, 2026, all four have free U.S. viewing options listed through library services such as Kanopy and Hoopla, while availability on ad-supported services including Pluto TV and Tubi varies by title, location, and catalog updates.
Availability checked: August 10, 2026. Streaming catalogs change frequently. The service’s own title page or your library-linked account is the final authority on whether a movie is playable where you live.

| Movie | Free option currently identified | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Transformers (2007) | Kanopy and Hoopla; Tubi’s own title page also lists it as free | Library access depends on a participating institution. Tubi’s page and aggregator listings do not always update at the same time. |
| Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) | Kanopy and Hoopla; Tubi’s own title page also lists it as free | Check the movie inside your Tubi account and library catalog before planning a viewing. |
| Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) | Tubi, Kanopy, and Hoopla; Pluto TV also has a current title page marked “Completely Free” | The Pluto page confirms this title, but it does not establish that all four movies remain on Pluto TV. |
| Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) | Kanopy and Hoopla | No current direct Tubi or Pluto confirmation was found for this film in the latest check. |
JustWatch’s U.S. listings currently show Kanopy and Hoopla as free options for all four films, and list Tubi for Dark of the Moon. Tubi’s own pages separately list Transformers and Revenge of the Fallen as free. That discrepancy is a useful reminder to treat aggregators as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
Which four Transformers movies are included?
The offer concerned the first four live-action, Michael Bay-directed films in release order:
-
Transformers (2007) — The franchise launch follows teenager Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LaBeouf, as he becomes involved in the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Megan Fox co-stars as Mikaela Banes.
-
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) — The direct sequel continues Sam’s story as the Autobots face a larger Decepticon threat.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) — The third film connects the Transformers conflict to a hidden history surrounding the Moon landing.
-
Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) — Mark Wahlberg takes over as the lead human character, Cade Yeager, in a film that introduces a new human cast and shifts the story beyond Sam Witwicky.

All four films are rated PG-13. The current franchise guide from JustWatch identifies them as the first four release-order entries in the Bay-led live-action series.
Was Pluto TV really offering all four for free?
Yes—but specifically as a December 2025 promotion, not as a promise of permanent availability.
The original report, published December 1, 2025 and syndicated by IMDb from CBR, identified the four movies as part of Pluto TV’s action programming. Pluto TV’s December 3 announcement, “The Holidays Are Brutal,” confirmed that its collection included Transformers titles, although the announcement did not list every movie individually.
Pluto TV still has a current page for Transformers: Dark of the Moon marked “Completely Free.” However, the four-film promotion may have ended or rotated, and current provider listings do not consistently show Pluto for all four movies. If you search Pluto TV today and find only one title—or none—that does not mean the original report was incorrect; it means the catalog has changed.
What does “free” mean?
There are three different types of free access involved here:
- Pluto TV: Pluto offers free live and on-demand programming supported by advertising. You do not need a traditional monthly subscription for its free service, but commercial breaks are part of the viewing experience. See Pluto TV’s on-demand service page for its current model.
- Tubi: Tubi is also an ad-supported streaming service. A title listed as free does not mean ad-free, downloadable, or permanently available.
- Kanopy and Hoopla: These services may be free to the viewer through a participating public library, university, or library card program. Access, title availability, borrowing limits, and monthly viewing allowances vary by institution.
A free listing may also require an account or sign-in. It does not automatically mean that every U.S. viewer can play the movie immediately, and availability can differ even between nearby library systems.

How to find the movies if a listing does not work
- Search by the full title and year. Use terms such as Transformers (2007) or Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) to avoid opening the wrong film.
- Check the service directly. Search Pluto TV and Tubi first if you do not have library access. The service’s own playback page is more useful than an old search result.
- Try your library-linked accounts. Sign in to Kanopy or Hoopla through your public library or university, then search each title individually. A title may be listed nationally but unavailable through your institution.
- Confirm the country and account location. The availability above is for the United States. Rights and catalogs can be completely different in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other markets.
- Use a paid single-service alternative if convenience matters more than cost. Current U.S. listings show all four movies on Paramount+ subscription tiers or Paramount+ channel bundles, although plan names, prices, and video quality can change. Paramount+ provides additional franchise context in its Transformers streaming guide.
Why isn’t The Last Knight included?
The four-film Pluto promotion covered the first four films in release order. It did not cover every movie directed by Michael Bay.
Bay directed five live-action entries: the four listed above plus Transformers: The Last Knight (2017). The current live-action franchise lineup also includes:
- Transformers (2007)
- Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
- Dark of the Moon (2011)
- Age of Extinction (2014)
- The Last Knight (2017)
- Bumblebee (2018)
- Rise of the Beasts (2023)
Those seven films make up the main live-action release-order guide, but their streaming rights are split between services and can change over time. The original four-film promotion should not be described as the complete Transformers franchise or even the entire Bay series.
Is this the 1986 animated Transformers movie?
No. The Pluto promotion concerned the live-action movies beginning with Transformers (2007). It did not refer to The Transformers: The Movie from 1986, the animated film featuring the classic Generation 1 characters.

It is a separate film and should not be confused with the 2007 movie when searching a streaming app or library catalog.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What order should you watch the four movies?
For a first viewing, use release order:
- Transformers (2007)
- Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)
- Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011)
- Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)
This order follows the original theatrical releases and gives the clearest progression through the first four films. The broader franchise has a different story chronology because Bumblebee and Rise of the Beasts function as earlier-set entries, but that does not change the best order for this four-film group.
Quick guide by viewer need

| All four in one paid location | Check Paramount+ | It requires a subscription or a Paramount+ channel bundle. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all four Transformers movies still on Pluto TV?
Do not assume that they are. Pluto TV carried all four during its December 2025 promotion, but its catalog is dynamic. As of August 10, 2026, Pluto has a current page marked “Completely Free” for Dark of the Moon; the other titles should be checked directly in the Pluto TV app or website.
Can I watch all four Transformers movies for free without ads?
Usually, no. Pluto TV and Tubi are free because they are supported by advertising. Kanopy and Hoopla may provide library-based access without a traditional streaming subscription, but availability and account requirements depend on your library or university.

The Bottom Line
The bottom line: Four Michael Bay Transformers movies were genuinely included in Pluto TV’s free U.S. action lineup in December 2025. In August 2026, the most dependable free routes identified for all four are library-based services such as Kanopy and Hoopla, while Tubi and Pluto TV availability varies. Check the individual title in your own account before watching, and remember that “free” may mean advertisements, library eligibility, or both.
