The claim that Fortnite would receive a new Lara Croft skin concerned the game’s March 2025 v34.10 update, not a current update. It was leak reporting, not an Epic Games announcement: contemporary coverage said the rumored design might draw on Lara’s 2000s-era appearance, but the reports did not establish whether it would be a new cosmetic or a return of her 2021 Battle Pass skin.
What the March 2025 report claimed
On March 11, 2025, Insider Gaming reported that Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR had claimed a Lara Croft skin was expected in connection with the then-live v34.10 update. The article relayed the leaker’s description of Lara as “a globetrotting archaeologist with a penchant for dangerous adventures”; that was attributed wording from the leak, not an official Epic Games description.
Other outlets reported similar leak details. GameSpot attributed a related claim to leaker SpushFNBR, while ComicBook.com reported the name “Lara Croft (2000s)” and attributed its information to ShiinaBR. Multiple outlets covering similar claims shows the rumor circulated; it does not make the details official.
Was the skin confirmed by Epic?
No confirmation was reported in the contemporary coverage. In its March 14, 2025 explainer, Radio Times said Epic had not confirmed the rumor at that time. The sources cited here do not establish whether Epic made a later announcement, so the claim should not be treated as confirmed or described as a current shop release.

- Meticulously crafted statue captures Lara with fierce determination and character
- Measures 9.2” tall, 9.4”wide, and 6.3” deep

Was it a new design or the 2021 skin returning?
The reporting left that point unresolved. Lara Croft had previously appeared as a Battle Pass cosmetic in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6, in 2021. Insider Gaming noted that the March 2025 claim could refer either to a new Lara design or to the return of that earlier version; the reports did not settle the question.
What design, release date, and price were rumored?
Radio Times reported a possible Item Shop appearance on March 14, 2025, with a look associated with the Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness era. It also relayed leak-based pricing and bundle contents. These were reported possibilities, not verified shop listings or confirmed prices:
