Forever is officially returning for Season 2 on Netflix. The renewal was announced on May 14, 2025, and Netflix reported on May 11, 2026, that the new season was filming in Los Angeles. Its update describes a four-year time jump to summer 2023, but does not give a premiere date.
When will Forever Season 2 come out?
Netflix has not announced a Season 2 release date or release window in its May 11, 2026 production update. That announcement says the season will debut on Netflix, but any specific date or timing estimate should be treated as unconfirmed unless Netflix publishes an update.
Netflix reported that filming was underway in Los Angeles when it published that update. It did not establish a filming wrap or the season’s post-production status.
What will Season 2 be about?
The story moves forward four years to summer 2023. Keisha has been heading to Howard University, while Justin has begun pursuing opportunities in Los Angeles’s music industry. When they cross paths again, both are navigating new relationships, jobs, and ambitions.
