Their connections vary: some describe lifelong or childhood fandom, while others are identified as Wolves fans in club or Foundation material.
Robert Plant: Wolves supporter since childhood
Led Zeppelin singer and lyricist Robert Plant is the most internationally famous name on this list, and his connection to Wolves reaches back to his first visit to Molineux. Wolves Foundation says he attended his first match aged five and was named a club vice-president in 2009. The Premier League has also described him as Wolves’ most famous fan.
Plant recalled the start of his support in an account to The Guardian, quoted in the Premier League’s feature: “It started when my dad took me to see them play Liverpool aged five and I thought Billy Wright, the Wolves captain, waved at me.” The Premier League feature reproduces the anecdote; Wolves Foundation’s profile documents his club connection and vice-presidency.
Beverley Knight: Wolverhampton roots and community work
Singer Beverley Knight grew up in Wolverhampton and is a Wolves Foundation ambassador. In a Foundation interview, she linked the club’s football identity to its community role: “And Wolves is the beating heart of Wolverhampton, both for the football and the work of Wolves Foundation.”

Knight also said, “You go anywhere in the world, you’re going to find a Wolves fan.” That is an expression of her pride in the club, not a measured statistic. Her Foundation interview gives the clearest account of how she sees Wolves’ place in the city.
Suzi Perry: a lifelong fan who regularly attends Molineux
Broadcaster Suzi Perry was raised in Wolverhampton and is described by Wolves Foundation as a lifelong supporter and regular at Molineux. The Foundation also says Perry welcomed her friend Knight into its ambassador group. Those details connect Perry’s fandom to both the city and match-going, rather than simply listing her as a celebrity associated with the club. See the Foundation’s honorary patrons and ambassadors directory.

Jacqui Oatley: broadcaster and Wolves fan
Football broadcaster Jacqui Oatley was described as a lifelong Wolves fan in the club’s announcement of new Foundation ambassadors, published on 9 September 2020. That dated announcement supports her inclusion as a genuine supporter; it does not, by itself, establish that she still holds a Foundation role. The club’s 2020 announcement is the source for the description.
Mark Rhodes: a club-identified supporter
Musician and television presenter Mark Rhodes was identified by Wolves as a fan and Foundation ambassador in the same 2020 announcement. The article offers less personal detail about his fandom than the accounts of Plant and Perry, so the careful claim is that the club named him as a supporter at that time—not that the announcement proves a current ambassador appointment.

Why some celebrity lists need a closer look
A famous name being linked with Wolves is not always evidence of actual support. FourFourTwo reports that Mark Hamill’s association began by accident: he thought a question about “the wolves” referred to the animal. That makes him a poor fit for a list of people who genuinely support the football club. FourFourTwo also mentions figures including Eric Idle and Edward Elgar, but the profiles above are grounded in more direct club, Foundation or Premier League descriptions. FourFourTwo’s 2022 feature provides the contrasting examples.
