What is the latest on Fallout Season 3?

The casting update names Aaron Paul, Emily Mortimer, Manny Jacinto, and Thomasin McKenzie as joining the season. Amazon did not disclose their roles, so character details have not been confirmed in that announcement.
How did the filming update change the earlier news?
Before Season 2 launched, Nolan described a possible return to production as a hope, not a firm schedule. PC Gamer reported his comments via IGN on December 8, 2025: “With regards to production, we’re hoping to be shooting again next summer,” followed by, “We’ll see if that all comes together, best laid plans, and all.” Amazon later reported that filming began in June 2026, turning that earlier possibility into a confirmed milestone. When will Season 3 be released?
