Both seasons of Fallout had an earlier-than-expected premiere date announced. For Season 1, Amazon moved the announced date from April 12 to April 11, 2024; for Season 2, Amazon’s December 2025 schedule update named December 16 as the new date. Amazon later described Season 1’s global debut as April 10, a separate retrospective account of when the series actually launched.
Which Fallout premiere moved earlier?
The headline can refer to either season. The two date changes are separate announcements, so the dates should not be combined into one timeline.

| Season | Earlier announced date | Updated date | What Amazon said |
|---|---|---|---|
| Season 1 | April 12, 2024 | April 11, 2024 | Amazon’s trailer announcement said all eight episodes would premiere April 11, “one day sooner than previously announced.” Amazon’s trailer announcement |
| Season 2 | December 17, 2025, as shown in the schedule listing | December 16, 2025 | Amazon’s schedule update named December 16 as the newly announced premiere date, although the same page still listed Season 2 under December 17. Amazon’s December 2025 schedule |
What happened to Season 1’s date?
Amazon first announced that Fallout would premiere exclusively on Prime Video on April 11, 2024, in more than 240 countries and territories. The original cast and production announcement set out that date. In a later trailer announcement, Amazon said the eight-episode season would arrive one day sooner than previously announced. That wording indicates a shift from April 12 to April 11.
There is a further wrinkle: Amazon’s Season 2 renewal announcement later said the series made its global debut on Wednesday, April 10. That retrospective statement is distinct from the earlier April 11 premiere announcement. The available official statements do not explain the difference, so April 11 is the updated date announced at the time, while April 10 is Amazon’s later account of the global debut.

What changed for Season 2?
In its December 2025 Prime Video schedule update, Amazon identified December 16 as the newly announced Season 2 premiere date. The same schedule page retained a December 17 entry for Fallout Season 2 elsewhere in its listing. The page does not give a reason for the change or specify a release time; it supports reporting December 16 as the updated date, with the inconsistent listing noted.
Where can you watch Fallout now?
As of Amazon’s June 19, 2026 update, all episodes of Seasons 1 and 2 were available on Prime Video. Amazon describes the show as exclusive to the service and says it is available in more than 240 countries and territories; check Prime Video in your region for local availability and terms. Amazon’s June 2026 update also said Season 3 was coming and filming was beginning in Los Angeles that month, but it had not announced a release date.
