In TheWrap’s February 5, 2026, recap, Lucy shuts down the mainframe, confronts Hank and reunites with Maximus. Does the finale establish which New Vegas ending is canon?
No definitive game ending is identified in the reviewed coverage. Asked which Fallout: New Vegas ending the show follows, Robertson-Dworet said the team aimed for an “open-armed approach” to players’ different experiences, rather than treating any as illegitimate or contradictory to the series. Robertson-Dworet called New Vegas a rare, relatively preserved “crown jewel” of civilization and said the team was excited to leave the Legion, NCR and House vying for territory again. The reported setup points to a continuing conflict, not a settled verdict on the city’s history or its future.
What the post-credit scene teases
The post-credit thread concerns the Brotherhood of Steel. Elder Quintus intends to find or build Liberty Prime Alpha, but first has to win his war. That is a Brotherhood storyline, not a Courier reveal. ComicBook.com’s post-credit coverage

- What the coverage supports: the cited finale recap does not identify the Courier, and the reviewed interview contains no creator confirmation of a cameo.
- What it does not prove: the available reporting cannot establish that the character is absent from every frame of the episode.
- What the finale foregrounds: Lucy and Maximus arrive at the Lucky 38 as Legion forces approach, with the city’s factional struggle left open.
For now, “the finale does not confirm a Courier appearance” is more precise than treating a cameo—or the Courier’s total absence—as definitively established.
