- Open ITVX and sign in or register.
- Search for the Six Nations coverage or select the ITV1 live channel.
- Confirm that you are in the UK and have the required TV licence for live viewing.
If the listing was missing, the likely explanations were that the match had finished, the event was being displayed inside a tournament hub, or the viewer was outside the licensed territory. ITV’s published schedule is available in its official programme listing.

Ireland: RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player
RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player were the reported free Irish options. Viewers could open RTÉ Player, select the live sports listing or RTÉ2, and look for the Six Nations coverage. Availability outside Ireland was subject to regional restrictions.
France: TF1 and TF1+
TF1 and TF1+ were reported as free French options for the match. As with the other domestic broadcasters, availability was tied to the broadcaster’s licensed territory and could change after the event.
Paid viewing options outside the free-to-air markets
There was no generally free domestic stream identified for the United States, Australia, New Zealand or Canada.

- New Zealand: Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now carried the match. Reported February pricing was NZ$29.99 per day, NZ$54.99 per month or NZ$549.99 per year.
- Canada: DAZN carried the match, with contemporary reporting listing plans from CA$34.99 per month.
These prices were reported around the February 7 matchday and are historical signals, not verified August 2026 prices. For an archived match, a new subscription may offer poor value unless it also includes the replay or other sports content the viewer wants.
Travelling and VPNs
A VPN may help a traveller connect to a familiar service’s home-country region, but it does not guarantee playback. The viewer still needs the relevant account, subscription or licence, and VPN use may conflict with a broadcaster’s terms or be detected by its player. It should not be described as a free international broadcaster or as a way to bypass licensing restrictions. See the broadcaster’s rules before relying on this option.
What the pre-match story was
Before kickoff, England arrived on an 11-match winning run and were viewed as serious title contenders. Wales, by contrast, were trying to halt a prolonged poor run and begin a difficult championship on a better footing.
