But the publisher’s announcements do not identify a new scene as an extension of DAIMA’s epilogue, so that specific claim remains unconfirmed.
Does the DLC add a new scene to the anime’s epilogue?
Not according to the official descriptions available from Bandai Namco. The publisher confirms that Part 1 includes original story content absent from the anime, but it does not say that this material takes place after the anime’s ending or extends its epilogue. Part 2 is described as continuing the Demon Realm story, with new characters and battles; its announcement also does not identify an epilogue scene.

That distinction matters: “original story content” establishes that the game has material beyond the anime adaptation, not when that material occurs or how it relates to the anime’s final scenes. The official announcements do not name or describe a particular brand-new epilogue scene. Bandai Namco’s Part 1 announcement and its Part 2 announcement support the narrower description of an expanded game story, not a confirmed anime-epilogue extension.
What is in the two-part DAIMA DLC?
Part 1: the Third Demon Realm
Available July 17, 2025, Part 1 adapts the adventure in the Third Demon Realm. Players explore as Goku (Mini) alongside Glorio, Shin, and Panzy, and encounter the Tamagami and Gendarmerie. The DLC also features Goku (Mini)’s Power Pole technique and additional original story material, including Panzy’s Room. Part 2: the First and Second Demon Worlds
Available January 15, 2026, Part 2 moves the adventure into the First and Second Demon Worlds. Its official description highlights Vegeta (Mini), Goku (Super Saiyan 4), Demon Realm enemies, and a boss battle against Tamagami Number Two. The announcement presents these as further DAIMA story content and gameplay, not as a specifically identified addition to the anime’s epilogue. Source: Bandai Namco, January 15, 2026.
Do you need the base game?
Yes. Bandai Namco states on its official game and DLC page: “This content requires the base game DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT to play.” The page lists both parts of the pack and cautions buyers to avoid duplicate purchases when buying standalone story DLC. If you already own the base game, check what you own before selecting a pack or individual content.
