Spoilers for Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1, “Conspiracy.” The premiere sets its story in motion with a plot that turns Goku and his companions small, links the scheme to the Demon Realm, and points toward a new adventure. What happens in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 1?
“Conspiracy” establishes the series’ central problem: Goku and company are made small because of a conspiracy, and the Demon Realm is implicated. Official summaries establish this broad premise, while the premiere introduces figures including Gomah, Degesu, Neva, and Dende.

2. Gomah and Degesu bring the Demon Realm into focus
Gomah and Degesu are introduced in the episode’s Demon Realm setup. Their presence establishes that the plot is not simply a problem arising among Goku’s usual rivals on Earth. The premiere gives viewers reason to watch their actions, without resolving every motive behind the scheme.

3. A shift in power creates an opening for the plot
The episode frames its conspiracy against the backdrop of events that have changed the status quo. That context helps explain the opportunity the plotters see; it should be distinguished from a wholly new threat that the premiere has already explained in full.
4. Earth’s Dragon Balls become part of the scheme
The conspiracy turns toward Earth and its Dragon Balls. Their connection to the events makes the heroes’ home—and the familiar means of making wishes—central to a story that is moving beyond Earth. 5. Neva’s involvement raises questions
Neva is one of the figures named in the episode’s setup, and the Dragon Balls are part of the mystery surrounding the plot. What Neva wants, and how much Neva knows, are questions to keep open rather than treating a suspected motive as confirmed.
6. Dende is caught up in the danger
Dende appears in the opening setup as the scheme takes shape. His involvement makes the threat immediate for characters tied to Earth’s Dragon Ball story, even as the premiere leaves the full consequences to unfold.

7. Goku and his companions are turned small
This is the episode’s defining change. Toei’s official description says, “Due to a conspiracy, Goku and his friends are turned small.” The transformation alters the group’s circumstances and supplies the story engine for what follows; it is not just a visual change.
8. The episode points toward a Namekian connection
With the Demon Realm and figures such as Neva in the setup, the premiere invites questions about Namekians and their history. The useful distinction is between a connection the episode raises and a complete explanation of that history: the premiere makes the subject relevant without answering every question it opens.

9. The heroes’ ordinary routines are disrupted
Being small changes how the group can operate in familiar surroundings. The premise gives the episode a new source of practical complications and comedy, while also making clear that the characters cannot simply continue as if nothing has changed.
10. Glorio points the story toward the Demon Realm
Official series material identifies Glorio as a mysterious young Majin connected with the Demon Realm adventure. In the episode’s setup, the heroes connect their predicament to that world, giving the plot a direction beyond Earth. Panzy is also one of the new characters announced in official material, though the premiere’s central hook is the Demon Realm journey taking shape.

Why did Gomah turn Goku and the others into kids?
The premiere presents the shrinking as the result of a conspiracy and places Gomah among the figures in the Demon Realm setup. That establishes the broad threat, but it does not justify treating every motive or detail of the scheme as settled. The transformation gives the plotters a way to disrupt the heroes’ standing and pushes the story toward the Demon Realm.
What does Episode 1 reveal about the Demon Realm and Namekians?
The series’ official framing ties the conspiracy to the Demon Realm, and the premiere brings that world into the same story as Earth’s Dragon Balls and the heroes’ transformation. It also raises questions about Namekian history. Those are meaningful connections, but a question raised by the episode is not the same as a full answer: viewers should separate what the premiere establishes from interpretations about the origins or history of its characters.
Who are Gomah, Degesu, Neva, and Glorio?
- Gomah: A figure in the Demon Realm plot who is associated with the central conspiracy.
- Degesu: Another character in the episode’s Demon Realm setup; the premiere establishes his presence without requiring viewers to assume every motive.
- Neva: A figure connected to the mystery around the Dragon Balls and the plot. The episode’s setup leaves questions about Neva’s intentions.
- Glorio: Officially described as a mysterious young Majin connected with the Demon Realm adventure. His arrival helps point the story toward that world.
Panzy is another new character announced in official series material. These introductions expand the cast around a premise that begins with the heroes’ sudden change in size.
What questions does the premiere leave open?
- What does Gomah ultimately want, and how do Degesu and Neva fit into that plan?
- How exactly do the Dragon Balls figure in the conspiracy?
- What is the full connection between the Demon Realm and Namekian history?
- How will Goku and the others adapt to being small as their journey moves beyond Earth?
- What role will Glorio and Panzy play as the new world and its characters come into focus?
The official Dragon Ball announcement dated September 4, 2024, said the Japanese premiere would be October 11 at 11:40 p.m. JST and credited Akira Toriyama with the original concept, story, and character designs. Toei Animation announced subtitled Crunchyroll episodes beginning October 11, 2024, in the United States, Canada, Latin America including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia, followed by weekly simulcasts with the Japanese broadcast. These are historical launch details, not a guarantee of current availability; the official DAIMA site lists streaming partners by region, so viewers should check their country and the services’ current catalogs.
