It first aired on CBS on February 21, 2024. The original announcement also outlined Paramount+ access, but that does not confirm the special is still in the service’s catalog.
What was Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala?
The program brought together music, celebrity guests and dogs on a fashion runway. Its announced format was a one-off variety special rather than a contest series: the runway featured looks inspired by Parton’s iconic outfits, alongside embellished pieces from her Doggy Parton pet line. Parton described the event as a celebration of animals and the fun of seeing pets on the show.
Jane Lynch was announced as co-host. Kelly Osbourne and Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rachel Smith were named as runway correspondents.
Who performed, and which songs were announced?
The performer lineup named in the announcements included Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Chris Janson and KC of KC and the Sunshine Band. Songs specifically named included “9 to 5,” “I Will Always Love You,” “Puppy Love” and “Jolene.”

The original CBS/Paramount announcement scheduled the two-hour special for February 21, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. At the time, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers were offered live access through their local CBS feed and on-demand access; Paramount+ Essential subscribers were offered on-demand access the day after broadcast. These were the announced arrangements for the 2024 airing, not a guarantee of current availability. Check the current Paramount+ catalog or local listings before planning to watch.

The Associated Press later reported that the program had first aired on CBS and described its mix of dog fashion and music. The network release credited Dolly Parton, Frank Garritano, Danny Nozell and Van Toffler as executive producers, with Sandollar Productions, Gunpowder & Sky and NOZ Entertainment as production companies.

The announcements establish the line’s connection to the special, but do not establish current product inventory or where particular items can be purchased.
