Yes. You can generally watch Vudu on a Windows 10 PC through the Fandango at Home website, which is the service’s current name. Microsoft Edge is the best-documented browser choice for Windows and can provide web playback up to HDX; Chrome and Firefox are limited to SD according to the service’s current help page. A Fandango at Home app is listed in the Microsoft Store, but that listing does not confirm that every app feature—including offline downloads—works on every Windows 10 PC.
Vudu is now Fandango at Home
Vudu was renamed Fandango at Home. Use the account you previously used for Vudu to sign in and access your library. The current service website and support pages use the Fandango at Home name, so old search results for a “Vudu app” or “Vudu To Go” may describe software or features that are no longer current.
The practical Windows 10 route is the official Fandango at Home website in Microsoft Edge. You do not need to install a Windows app to try browser playback.
How to watch on Windows 10
- Open Microsoft Edge and go to athome.fandango.com.
- Select Sign In and enter the credentials for your existing Fandango at Home or Vudu account.
- Open My Library to find eligible content you own, or browse the storefront for a title to rent, buy, or watch free when offered.
- Select the title and choose the available watch, rent, or buy option. Labels and page placement may change.
- If a title will not start, try another title in Edge. This helps distinguish a title-specific issue from a browser, account, or device problem.
Fandango’s policy says streaming requires an internet connection throughout playback. A title playing in a browser is therefore online streaming, not an offline copy. Fandango at Home’s streaming policy also notes that availability and quality can vary by device, location, bandwidth, connection speed, and selected format.

Which browser gives the best picture quality?
Fandango at Home’s current computer guidance distinguishes browser quality. On Windows, Edge is the recommended choice when picture quality matters; Chrome and Firefox remain options for basic viewing, but the service lists them for SD rather than HDX web playback.
| Browser | Documented web quality | Practical guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Edge | Up to HDX | Best first choice on Windows 10 for higher web quality. |
| Google Chrome | SD | Can be used if standard definition is acceptable. |
| Mozilla Firefox | SD | Can be used if standard definition is acceptable. |
| Safari | Up to HDX | Included in the service’s quality guidance, but it is not the normal browser choice for Windows 10. |
These are the service’s stated browser capabilities, not a guarantee that every title will stream at the maximum listed quality. HDX on the web is not the same as guaranteed UHD or 4K playback. The title’s available format, the computer’s display and graphics, protected-playback support, connection stability, location, and network congestion can all affect the result. Fandango’s computer and device help identifies HDX as the top web quality and treats UHD-capable devices separately.

Does the Fandango at Home Windows app work?
The Microsoft Store lists Fandango at Home: Movies & TV. Search the Store for “Fandango at Home,” rather than only “Vudu.” If the Store offers the app for your PC, you can try installing it; availability can depend on the particular system and Store configuration.
The Store listing establishes that an app listing exists, but it does not establish that all features work on every Windows 10 installation or that the app offers downloads, HDX, or UHD. If the app is unavailable or fails, use the website in Edge. Avoid archived installers and old Vudu To Go setup instructions.

Can you download movies for offline viewing on Windows 10?
Current Windows 10 offline support is not clearly established. Fandango’s policy says purchased content may be downloaded and stored on certain authorized devices, subject to usage rights and system requirements, but it does not specify a general Windows 10 download workflow. If the current Store app displays a Download control for a title, follow that app’s instructions. Otherwise, assume browser viewing requires an internet connection.
- A browser stream is not a downloadable video file.
- Where downloads are offered, the official app, device authorization, and account rights control their availability.
- A purchase does not automatically provide unrestricted local-file access.
- Older Vudu download material, including the legacy Vudu EULA, should not be treated as confirmation of a current Windows 10 feature.
Windows 10 computer requirements and location
Fandango’s computer help gives a broad baseline for PC or Mac playback: a processor comparable to an Intel Core i5, at least 2 GB of RAM, and a display and graphics card capable of HD. These are service-level guidance, not a complete Windows 10 compatibility certification or a promise of HDX playback. A PC meeting them may still encounter problems related to its browser, protected playback, drivers, account session, or network. The service does not establish a minimum internet speed in this guidance, so a specific speed threshold should not be assumed.

Geography matters: the current help page says streaming is available only in the United States. If you are elsewhere, a location or availability restriction may explain the problem; it does not necessarily indicate a Windows 10 fault.

Best Value
- Confirm the PC has an active internet connection, then close unnecessary streaming tabs or bandwidth-heavy apps.
- Close and reopen Edge, then sign out of Fandango at Home and sign in again.
- Retry the affected title in Edge. If you were using Chrome or Firefox, the browser switch also tests whether the SD-only browser limitation is relevant.
- Play a different title. If only one fails, the issue may be specific to that title, its format, or its availability.
- If playback still fails, test the account on another supported device if available. A failure across devices points more toward the account or title than the Windows browser alone.
- Install available Windows, Edge, and graphics-driver updates through their official update channels. For a test, temporarily disable privacy extensions or script blockers that may interfere with playback, then restore them and adjust only if the test identifies a conflict.
- If the account or title continues to fail across supported devices, contact Fandango at Home support with the title, device, browser, and error details.
| Symptom | Possible cause | What to try |
|---|---|---|
| Site loads, but video does not start | Browser playback, cookies, an extension, protected playback, or account session | Retry in Edge, sign in again, and test with conflicting extensions disabled. |
| Playback is limited to SD | Chrome or Firefox web quality guidance | Switch to Microsoft Edge and check whether the title is available in a higher format. |
| App cannot be found in the Store | Searching under the old Vudu name, or Store availability for that PC | Search for Fandango at Home; use the official website if the app is not offered. |
| Owned library appears empty | Wrong account or sign-in session | Sign out and back in with the original Vudu credentials, checking for any alternate account you may have used. |
| One title fails but others play | Title-specific format, availability, or rights issue | Try another title; contact support if the same title continues to fail. |
| Video is blurry or keeps buffering | Connection instability, congestion, device capability, or selected format | Reduce competing network traffic, use a stable connection, and retry later. |
| UHD or 4K is unavailable | Browser/device capability or no UHD version for that title | Use a supported UHD device if 4K is essential; do not assume a Windows browser will offer it. |
| No offline download control appears | The current Windows app or title may not offer downloads | Use online playback or a device on which the official app explicitly offers a download option. |
When a streaming device may be a better choice
A Windows 10 PC is a reasonable option for watching at a desk or on a laptop. A supported smart TV, Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV device, Chromecast, or console may be more convenient for television viewing, remote-control use, or a supported UHD setup. Fandango lists these kinds of platforms in its device guidance, but available quality varies by device and title. Additional hardware is not necessary merely to try ordinary web streaming on a compatible PC.
Keep service libraries distinct. Microsoft Movies & TV purchases are not the same as a Fandango at Home library or account; Microsoft’s Movies & TV support page concerns that separate service. Likewise, access to a Fandango purchase is governed by the service’s account and usage terms, and content or device availability can change under its streaming policy.
