Yes. Vudu—now branded Fandango at Home—still lists 3D movies, including an official 3D Movies catalog and title pages such as The Meg 3D. The important qualification is playback: a 3D listing does not prove that every current Fandango at Home app, device, television, browser or 4K setup can output stereoscopic 3D.

Does Vudu still have a 3D section?
Yes. The current public storefront uses the Fandango at Home name, while “Vudu” remains common in searches, legacy URLs and documentation. Its dedicated 3D Movies page is direct evidence that the service continues to offer 3D editions.
Availability is title- and rights-dependent. A movie can leave the catalog, switch from rental to purchase only, or remain visible in a category while its individual page no longer offers a transaction. Always check the title page and checkout screen rather than relying on an old list or a category alone.

How to find a genuine 3D movie
- Open the official 3D Movies page on Fandango at Home.
- Select the film and inspect its individual product page.
- Confirm that the edition is explicitly labeled 3D, not merely HD, HDX or 4K UHD.
- Check whether that edition can be rented, purchased, or both, and note the current price.
- Before paying, verify your territory, display, glasses and playback device.
Searching for a title plus “3D” is a useful fallback, but text search can return a standard edition whose synopsis mentions 3D, a sequel, a bonus feature, or an edition that is no longer sold. The format label on the title page is the decisive check. For example, The Meg 3D is presented as a named 3D listing; its rental or purchase terms can change.
Do not confuse 4K with 3D

What equipment is required?
You need both service access and a complete 3D presentation chain:
- A Fandango at Home account and an internet connection.
- A supported app or playback device.
- A 3D-capable television or projector.
- Glasses that match that display: active-shutter or passive polarized, as required.
- A compatible source, HDMI connection and, where used, AV receiver.
An older 3D television may be capable of the display mode but have an app or source device that cannot deliver it. Conversely, a newer 4K television is not automatically 3D-capable. Projector compatibility varies by model, signal format and glasses system. Use the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact display, and do not assume glasses from another television or projector will pair correctly.

The source device, receiver and HDMI chain must all recognize the 3D signal. A setup that passes ordinary HD or 4K can still fail to negotiate 3D.

Which devices support Fandango at Home?
Fandango’s current general help information lists these categories for streaming, with device- and resolution-specific limits:

This is a general Fandango at Home compatibility list, not a confirmed 3D compatibility matrix. The help material emphasizes HDX and 4K UHD ceilings but does not identify which listed combinations guarantee stereoscopic 3D. Some older devices also stopped supporting the Vudu app after December 10, 2024; that warning is not a 3D-specific cutoff.

Can you watch a Fandango at Home 3D movie in a browser?
Do not assume so. The current help information discusses browser quality—Safari and Edge offer the best listed web quality in that context, while Chrome and Firefox may be limited to SD—but it does not establish a reliable stereoscopic-3D browser workflow. A compatible television, streaming device, console or projector app is the safer route. Confirm support for your exact setup before purchasing.
Where is the service available?
The current help material identifies Fandango streaming as available in the United States. Catalog and playback rights are therefore region-dependent; a U.S. 3D listing should not be assumed to work in Canada, the United Kingdom or elsewhere.
Does Disc to Digital preserve 3D?
Not according to any promise on the current official page. Fandango’s Disc to Digital program accepts only select DVDs and Blu-rays and imposes restrictions and annual limits. Its listed starting conversions are:

The page does not state that a 3D Blu-ray becomes a 3D digital entitlement. Verify the exact disc’s eligibility and the resulting format before paying; do not assume that the 3D presentation survives conversion.
Why a listed 3D movie may play only in 2D
- Check that the rental or purchase is the 3D edition, not a separate HDX or UHD edition.
- Enable the display’s 3D mode or automatic detection.
- Try the official app on the display or another supported playback device.
- Temporarily bypass the AV receiver and connect the source directly to the display.
- Confirm that the required proprietary active-shutter or passive glasses are paired, charged and compatible.
- Check that the display is receiving the 3D edition rather than a standard HD or UHD stream.
- Look for multiple editions in the title page and account library.
- If the listing explicitly promised 3D but supplies only 2D, contact Fandango at Home support.
No single step is guaranteed to fix every setup; failures can involve the title, app, device, display or signal chain.

A digital purchase is a licensed access right rather than ownership of a physical copy under the service’s Vudu end-user license agreement. Linking an account through Movies Anywhere may broaden access for eligible titles, but it does not guarantee that a 3D entitlement or 3D presentation transfers to every connected retailer.

Is there a 3D subscription plan?
The current storefront presents Fandango at Home as a transactional service: free content, individual rentals, individual purchases, 4K UHD titles and rotating promotions. It does not show a dedicated 3D subscription tier. Pricing is title-specific and can change, so there is no universal 3D rental or purchase price.
Final verdict
Vudu, now Fandango at Home, does offer 3D movies through an official 3D catalog. Use that category, verify the exact title-level 3D label and transaction option, and confirm your display, glasses, app, device and HDMI chain before paying. General Fandango support, 4K capability, browser playback and Disc to Digital conversion do not by themselves prove stereoscopic 3D support.
