No—Netflix does not promise everyone a free 30-day subscription. Its English Help Center says it does not offer free trials, although reports in July 2026 described limited promotional tests in selected markets. To find out whether an offer is available to you, check Netflix’s own signup flow in your country; assume there is no trial unless Netflix displays one and states its terms.
Is there a 30-day free trial of Netflix?
There is no substantiated universal way to get Netflix free for 30 days. Netflix’s Free Trial Help Center page, accessed October 8, 2026, says Netflix does not offer free trials. Its localized help pages and offers may differ by country, so that English-language statement does not establish what every signup flow worldwide displays.

Two July 2026 reports described limited tests of Netflix promotions. Broadband TV News reported 7-, 14-, and 30-day durations in selected markets and said the United States and United Kingdom were excluded at that time. Tom’s Guide reported a test appearing in Brazil and attributed to an unnamed Netflix spokesperson the statement that the company regularly tests promotions for prospective members. These are dated reports, not confirmation of an offer available in October 2026 or a guarantee that any particular person qualifies.
How to check whether Netflix is offering a trial in your country
- Open Netflix’s official website for your country and start the signup flow. Do not rely on a link, code, or offer page from an unofficial source.
- Read the offer shown before you provide payment details. Check whether it explicitly says the membership is free, the trial duration, who is eligible, and when billing would begin.
- If no trial and its terms are clearly displayed by Netflix, treat the signup as a paid membership. You can check local plan prices and terms on Netflix’s signup page; the page accessed October 8, 2026 displayed euro pricing, which should not be assumed to apply in other markets or remain unchanged.
The July reports described limited tests for prospective or eligible new members; they do not establish that changing your email address, opening an incognito window, or using another browser will make you eligible. No unofficial “trick” is a reliable substitute for an offer Netflix itself shows in your country.

What if you sign up for a paid membership?
Netflix says members can change plans or cancel online, and its consumer signup page says cancellation has no fee. Check the terms shown for your market and account before subscribing; the exact billing and cancellation details are governed by the offer presented during signup.
Using a gift card
A Netflix gift card can be added to a new or existing account, where its value is applied as gift balance, according to Netflix’s gift card information. It is a paid way to fund membership, not a free trial or a way to bypass eligibility. Confirm that a card can be redeemed in your country before buying one.
