It does not reveal where he goes next or confirm that Tatum will reprise the role.
What happens in Gambit’s deleted scene?
During the climactic fight in the Void, Gambit joins Deadpool, Wolverine, Elektra, Blade and Laura against Cassandra Nova’s forces. The film’s ending leaves the group’s fate uncertain to some viewers. In the separately shared scene, Gambit walks among fallen opponents, turns toward the camera and grins as a portal appears nearby. Is the scene in the released movie?
A version of the image is already present in the finished film, but it is easy to miss: it appears on a monitor deep in the background at the Time Variance Authority. Reynolds explained, “A version of the sequence is in the film — on one of the monitors in the deep background of the [Time Variance Authority].” The separately posted clip is the expanded version, while the monitor appearance is a brief background Easter egg.

- Not explained: The scene does not identify where the portal leads or Gambit’s next destination.
- Not announced: It does not confirm a new Gambit film or guarantee Tatum’s return in another Marvel project. Any future appearance remains speculation unless Marvel or the filmmakers announce it.
