It is not a conventional DISH satellite channel package. You watch through YouTube, including the YouTube app on compatible, internet-connected Hopper receivers. Availability and price can change, so confirm the offer for your account before signing up.
How NFL Sunday Ticket works with DISH
DISH’s support page describes an NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube option, including activation through a Google account and viewing on supported Hopper receivers. The subscription is still a YouTube product: DISH does not deliver it as a regular channel group in its satellite lineup. A charge may appear on a customer’s DISH bill as “NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube.” DISH’s support instructions explain the arrangement.
The distinction matters at signup. A DISH television package does not automatically include Sunday Ticket. You need an eligible current offer or a separate YouTube subscription, and you should check the terms and receiver support before paying. DISH’s former sales page is not reliable evidence of a current offer: the indexed page returned a 404 during review.
What Sunday Ticket includes—and what it doesn’t
NFL Sunday Ticket is for out-of-market Sunday-afternoon regular-season games that are not available on your local broadcast stations. It is not a pass to every NFL game. DISH and YouTube describe the package and its exclusions in their support materials: DISH and YouTube TV Help.

Do you need YouTube TV?
No. YouTube describes two purchase routes: Sunday Ticket as an add-on to YouTube TV, or as a standalone YouTube Primetime Channel. The YouTube TV route requires an active YouTube TV base plan; the standalone route does not. DISH customers using a DISH-specific offer should still expect to activate with a Google account and watch the content in YouTube.

YouTube’s help page showed a YouTube TV base-plan price of $82.99 per month when it was checked on August 18, 2026. That figure is for the base plan, not Sunday Ticket, and prices and promotions can change. Check the current checkout price for either route at YouTube TV Help.
How to activate Sunday Ticket on a supported Hopper
DISH lists Hopper 3, Hopper with Sling, and Hopper Plus as fully supported receivers for this experience. Confirm your model before purchase; the YouTube app and Sunday Ticket workflow are not documented as available on every DISH receiver.

- Open the activation link in the email from DISH.
- Sign in to a Google account or create one, then enter the account credentials.
- Allow DISH access to the Google account and select Activate Now.
- Connect the supported Hopper to the internet.
- Open the YouTube app on the Hopper, sign in, and select NFL Sunday Ticket.
These steps and compatible receiver models are listed on DISH’s activation page. Since the service is delivered through YouTube, viewers may also use supported YouTube devices; check YouTube’s current device support rather than assuming every device or feature works.
Price, billing, streams, and cancellation
DISH’s current support page does not establish a verified 2026 Sunday Ticket price. An older DISH terms reference to a $150 prorated offer was tied to the 2025 season and a December 8, 2025 deadline; it is not a current price. Verify the amount, eligibility, and billing arrangement during signup. DISH says a charge may be billed through DISH even though activation and viewing involve Google and YouTube.

- Contract: DISH says Sunday Ticket has no long-term contract. That does not mean the purchase is refundable.
- Refunds and cancellation: DISH says purchases are nonrefundable. YouTube says month-to-month subscriptions can be canceled while access continues through the paid billing period; season passes generally cannot be canceled or refunded. YouTube also says automatic renewal can be turned off for future seasons. Check the terms tied to your checkout path at YouTube TV Help.
- Streams: DISH’s support page states unlimited simultaneous streams at home and up to two additional out-of-home streams for household members. Household and account eligibility rules can change, so verify them for your account.
Other ways to watch NFL games with DISH
DISH’s regular NFL coverage can handle many local and nationally televised games, but the viewing rights are split across channels and streaming services. DISH lists local ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC affiliates where available, NFL Network in qualifying packages, and NFL RedZone through its Multi-Sport Pack. It also identifies separate services for some games, including Prime Video, Netflix, and Peacock. Check the game’s broadcaster and any required subscription before kickoff using DISH’s NFL guide.
RedZone is a rapid highlights and scoring-chance service, not a substitute for watching a chosen out-of-market game in full. It may suit viewers who want to follow scoring across games; Sunday Ticket is the more relevant option for full out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games.

Common problems to check before kickoff
- No Sunday Ticket channel number: Look in the YouTube app, not the DISH channel guide.
- Activation email missing or account not linking: Check the email account used with DISH, then use the activation link and Google account specified in the offer. If access still fails, contact DISH support for the DISH-billed offer.
- Unsupported receiver or no internet: Verify that the receiver is a Hopper 3, Hopper with Sling, or Hopper Plus and that it is connected to the internet.
- A game appears unavailable: Check whether it is local, nationally televised, digital-only, or otherwise separately distributed; Sunday Ticket does not override those rights.
- Already have a YouTube subscription or promotion: Confirm whether the DISH offer can be applied to your account before activating. Offers may not stack with an existing Sunday Ticket subscription or promotion.
- Planning to show games to customers: Do not use a residential subscription for a business; obtain commercial rights.
