The “starting at $17 a month” price was the U.S. bundle’s July 2024 launch offer, not its current listed price. Hulu’s pricing page, dated September 30, 2026, lists the bundle for new subscribers at $21.99 per month with ads or $34.99 per month without ads, while a Disney+ bundle page displays different prices. Confirm the amount and billing provider shown at checkout before subscribing.
What the $17 headline means
Disney Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery launched the U.S. bundle on July 25, 2024, at $16.99 per month with ads and $29.99 per month without ads. The headline’s $17 was a rounded version of the ad-supported launch price. Those are historical launch prices, not the current Hulu-listed rates.
In its July 25, 2024 release, Hulu said: “Starting today, the new Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle from Disney Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery is available in the U.S. for purchase on any of the three streaming platforms’ websites.” The release described a launch savings of up to 38% compared with buying the services separately at that time. That was a company-published comparison tied to the launch, not an independent calculation or a current savings estimate.
Current listed prices—and a difference between official pages
Hulu’s pricing page, dated September 30, 2026, lists these monthly rates for new subscriptions as of September 23, 2026. The same page says existing subscribers will see the change on or after October 21, 2026.

What you get and which apps you need
The subscription combines paid access to Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max—the service called Max in the 2024 launch announcement. The bundle is not one unified streaming app: full service access uses the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max apps separately. Hulu says some HBO content can also be watched within Hulu, but additional content is available only through HBO Max.
