Yes—but it was a past event, not an upcoming stream. Tim Walz and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez played Madden NFL 25 on Twitch on October 27, 2024, nine days before the U.S. presidential election.
What happened on the stream?
Walz and Ocasio-Cortez played on Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitch channel, according to PC Gamer’s report. The pair also played Crazy Taxi, the outlet said.
Fox News reported that Walz chose the Minnesota Vikings and Ocasio-Cortez chose the Buffalo Bills. Its account put the Madden game’s final score at 0–0. Fox News reported the teams and score.
Why did they stream together?
The appearance came in the closing stretch of the 2024 campaign. The Guardian described it as an effort to reach young male voters, a reported campaign rationale rather than evidence that the stream changed anyone’s vote. The newspaper reported about 12,000 viewers; that is its reported figure, not a verified audience metric published by Twitch. The Guardian’s coverage placed the event in that campaign context.
