No. Tampa International Airport did not announce an enforceable dress-code rule banning pajamas. The “We’ve seen enough” wording came from a satirical social-media post published on February 26, 2026; the airport said passengers should travel comfortably.
What did Tampa International Airport post?
On February 26, 2026, the airport’s social-media account opened with: “We’ve seen enough. We’ve had enough. It’s time to ban pajamas at Tampa International Airport.” The post joked that Crocs had already been banned and pajamas were the next “even larger crisis,” then urged readers to help make TPA the world’s first “Crocs-free AND pajama-free airport.”
The Crocs reference was part of the joke, too. Lead Stories reported finding no evidence of an earlier Crocs ban. Lead Stories’ February 26 fact-check reproduced the post and the airport’s clarification.
Was the post a real dress-code rule?
No. Tampa International Airport’s communications department told Lead Stories that the post was satire, not an announcement of a ban. Its statement said: “Tampa International Airport regularly shares lighthearted, satirical social media content as part of our ongoing effort to engage with our followers. Today’s post about ‘banning’ pajamas was another playful nod to day-of-travel fashion debates. We encourage our passengers to travel comfortably and appreciate our loyal followers who enjoy the online humor.”

The Independent also reported the airport’s clarification and described reactions to the post as mixed. Its February 26 coverage corroborates that the ban claim was not an actual policy announcement.
