Its official listing gives January 15, 2026, as the premiere date and lists ten episodes for season one. The story follows a new class of cadets training under instructors as they navigate friendships, rivalries and first loves while facing a threat to the Academy and the Federation.

Was the series canceled, or was season two already planned?
Season two was announced on October 19, 2024, while season one was still in production—before the show premiered and before its first-season audience could be observed. Paramount Global Content’s official listing describes the series as renewed for season two.
Later, Variety reported that the series would end after its already-produced second season. TVLine likewise reported on March 23, 2026, that the show would conclude after the forthcoming season. In practical terms, the reported plan is for the run to finish with season two; this is not a case where season two was ordered only after the first season’s chart performance was known.

Does the chart result explain why the show is ending?
No official explanation for the reported ending is established in the cited coverage. The reports support two separate points: the first season did not rank on Nielsen’s Top 10 streaming charts, and the series was reported to end after season two. They do not establish that the chart absence caused the ending.
