No verified evidence in the reports reviewed establishes that Stacey Rusch paid Thomas Anthony “TJ” Jones to date her. Bravo reported that Jones made the accusation during the Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 reunion; Rusch denied it on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 2, 2025. The dispute remains unresolved in the cited coverage.
How the accusation surfaced
According to Bravo’s March 3, 2025 account, Jones made the accusation during Part 3 of the Season 9 reunion while speaking by phone with cast member Eddie Osefo. Osefo relayed the claim to Rusch, host Andy Cohen and the other reunion cast members, with Karen Huger absent from that exchange. Bravo described the claim as an accusation; its report did not include independent documentation establishing that a payment occurred.

What Stacey Rusch said in response
On Watch What Happens Live on March 2, Rusch directly rejected the allegation. Bravo quoted her saying: “I did not pay him. I was in a real relationship with him and he treated me very poorly and to see that — to see him be so disrespectful and to see him be definitely unchristian and do this to me at the reunion — it was jarring, quite frankly.”
She also characterized their relationship differently from Jones’s accusation: “I was looking for love and he was in love with being in front of the camera.” Rusch said she was not worried by the claim, adding, “I live in my truth and I didn’t pay him, I don’t have to pay anybody.” These are her statements as reported by Bravo, not independent proof of the relationship’s terms.

Bravo’s report on Rusch’s denial and comments
What is—and is not—established
The cited reports establish that the allegation was aired at the reunion and that Rusch denied it. They do not provide independent corroboration or documentation that resolves whether she paid Jones, and they do not supply a direct verbatim statement from Jones beyond Bravo’s account of the accusation. Rusch offered her own interpretation of why he made it, suggesting he was upset about how he appeared on the show and might be recasting the relationship as unreal. That explanation is her view, not a verified motive.
Where their relationship stood in the 2025 reports
Bravo’s March 2025 coverage said Rusch and Jones were no longer together. Rusch described the relationship as a lesson and said she wanted time to focus on herself rather than date. That is the status reported at the time; it does not establish their relationship status today.
