Olivia Holzmacher did not explicitly announce a breakup with Joe Burrow in her February 2, 2025 Instagram post. Entertainment outlets interpreted its reflective caption as an allusion to their reported split; later Us Weekly coverage said they broke up in 2024, though the precise timing was unclear.
What Olivia Holzmacher’s post said
After a lengthy gap in posting, Holzmacher returned to Instagram on February 2, 2025, with a carousel that included a bookshelf displaying titles such as Get Out of Your Head, 8 Rules of Love, and Eat, Pray, Love, according to Us Weekly. Its report transcribed her caption as: “Be intentional , do the hard $hit , && show, don’t tell. I found my deeper well.” The post did not name Burrow or say that their relationship had ended.
Us Weekly and E! News described the post as hinting at or alluding to a breakup. That is an interpretation of the caption, not a direct announcement by Holzmacher.
What is reported about the breakup
In a November 24, 2025 report, Us Weekly called Holzmacher Burrow’s ex-girlfriend and said the pair broke up in 2024. The outlet also said it was unclear exactly when the breakup happened. The available reporting does not establish a specific month or day.

Some coverage connected renewed speculation about Burrow’s personal life to a December 2024 burglary at his home, where model Olivia Ponton was reported to have been present. Reports discussed speculation about Ponton and Burrow, but they do not establish the two were in a relationship. The burglary likewise does not prove a romance or explain Holzmacher and Burrow’s reported breakup.
