The photos became public shortly before she left the television cast in December 2012, but Black said she was not told why her role ended, and no reviewed source provides a definitive production-company statement linking the decision to the images.
What photos were at the center of the story?
The controversy concerned images from a reported 2008 modeling shoot for SuicideGirls. The National Enquirer published photos from the shoot in December 2012, and the timing—days before Black’s departure from Pawn Stars was reported—prompted speculation that the two events were connected. Fox’s December 26, 2012 interview with Black describes that sequence.

The available reporting does not verify a numbered collection of 15 images. Fox’s page displayed three article images, two captioned as SuicideGirls.com images and one from Pawn Stars; that is not evidence of a 15-photo set. The number in the original headline should therefore not be treated as a confirmed gallery or an established count.
What did Olivia Black say about leaving the show?
In Fox’s December 26, 2012 interview, Black said she had been let go from the television show but did not know the reason. “I don’t have the actual reason as to why I am not a part of the show anymore,” she said, adding that the reason had not been stated and that she had been too shocked to ask. She also said Rick Harrison had told her she could continue working at Gold & Silver Pawn.

Black made a similar point in a Fox follow-up published December 28: the show had not explained its decision to her. That report discussed debate about whether her modeling work should affect her television role, but it did not produce an explanation from the employer. Read the December 28 report.
What did the reporting say about her contract?
E! reported on December 20, 2012, that Black’s contract was not renewed. It described her as having a small role in prior seasons and quoted her characterizing the decision as “Just as simple as down sizing. It is of no fault of the guys.” E! also reported that Black was not claiming the photos were the reason she was let go. The History Channel had no comment at the time, and E! said requests to A&E and Black had not been immediately returned. E!’s December 20 account thus records a non-renewal and Black’s public description of it, not a confirmed explanation from the production company.

What did Rick Harrison later say?
In an October 2013 interview, Harrison disputed the description that he personally fired Black: “I never fired her,” he said. He added that “the production company did not want her working there anymore,” while saying that her personal life was her business. The same Fox report says Black had by then left her job at Gold & Silver Pawn; she described the decision by saying, “It was very apparent my time there was done.” Fox’s October 8, 2013 interview with Harrison distinguishes the television decision from her later departure from the shop.

The reports establish proximity in time, not motive. Inside Edition quoted Black saying the production company called shortly after the photos became public and told her she would no longer be on the show. That supports her account of when she heard the decision; it does not show what reason the company gave. Inside Edition’s January 3, 2013 report presents the timing through Black’s account.

The accounts can be understood as referring to different things: Black said her television role ended and that Harrison initially told her she could still work at the pawn shop; Harrison later said the production company did not want her working there, and both later described her as having left the shop. These are attributed statements from Black and Harrison, not an authoritative public explanation from the production company. The strongest supported conclusion is that the photos prompted speculation because they surfaced near her exit, but the reviewed reporting does not prove they caused it.
