No. Contemporaneous reports say G-Eazy performed “Him & I” alone at Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on July 6, 2018. Halsey had announced three days earlier that they were taking time apart. The reports do not substantiate that Halsey was forced to perform with him or had just learned he cheated.
What happened at GMA
G-Eazy appeared at Good Morning America’s 2018 Summer Concert Series on July 6. Us Weekly reported that his set included “No Limit,” “Me, Myself & I,” and “Him & I,” and described “Him & I” as a solo performance. PopCulture.com likewise reported that he performed the song alone. “Him & I” was the collaboration between G-Eazy and Halsey; the fact that he performed it at GMA does not mean Halsey was onstage with him. What Halsey said before the performance
On July 3, 2018, Halsey posted an Instagram Story saying, “G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart.” They also said they wanted to focus on their art, career, and tour, and asked fans to respect their privacy. The statement announced a separation; it did not publicly describe infidelity or say Halsey would appear at GMA. (Entertainment Tonight; Us Weekly)
Was cheating confirmed, or was Halsey forced to perform?
The contemporaneous account from On Air with Ryan Seacrest described the cheating idea as fan speculation tied to social-media clues. The reporting reviewed does not verify that G-Eazy cheated, establish when Halsey learned anything, or report that Halsey was compelled to perform at GMA. (On Air with Ryan Seacrest / iHeart)

- Ultimate...2000s
Those are separate claims from the documented timeline: Halsey announced the break on July 3, and G-Eazy performed alone on July 6. A sequence of events—and speculation about the reason for a breakup—cannot establish either a confirmed discovery of cheating or coercion.

In an interview reported by Entertainment Tonight on July 6, G-Eazy said, “We were actually in the studio just the other night and we did a couple records.” That supports only that he described recent collaborative recording. It does not establish what either person knew about the relationship or imply that Halsey was involved in his GMA appearance. (Entertainment Tonight)
