What was Deborra-Lee Furness spotted doing?
PerthNow reported that Furness was seen walking alone in New York City on a Wednesday, wearing a black sweater and pants with a red beanie. The article did not give the calendar date of the sighting. A solo walk is not evidence of a change in her relationship with Jackman.

The report said the sighting came hours after an anonymous source told RadarOnline.com that Furness had been working through anger toward Jackman and that the two had met in New York to talk. PerthNow also relayed a separate source’s claim that Furness had support from longtime friend Nicholas Evans. These are attributed, secondhand claims, not public statements from Furness or Jackman. PerthNow’s report is dated October 10, 2025.
Are Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness speaking again?
Anonymous-source reports said they had met and were communicating. In a later report dated November 19, 2025, Us Weekly said unnamed sources described the former spouses as slowly rebuilding communication after the divorce, discussing unresolved issues and moving toward emotional closure. The outlet said representatives were contacted for comment. Us Weekly’s account also relies on anonymous sources.

Those reports suggest possible renewed contact, but they do not establish a romantic reconciliation. No reviewed report contains an on-the-record confirmation from either Furness or Jackman that they have resumed their relationship.

Jackman and Furness announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. In a joint statement reproduced by the Associated Press, they said, “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.” They also said their family remained their highest priority and asked for privacy. The Los Angeles Times reported that Furness filed for divorce in New York in May 2025. In a public statement quoted by the Times, she described “the traumatic journey of betrayal,” and said, “It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.” She did not elaborate on the betrayal in the statement covered by the Times, so its cause should not be treated as established. The Los Angeles Times account attributes her remarks to a statement she gave to the Daily Mail.
June 2025: Us Weekly reported the divorce was finalized
Us Weekly reported that the divorce was finalized in June 2025. Its later account of communication between the former spouses is based on unnamed sources rather than a public confirmation by the pair.
