Their duet was “Islands in the Stream,” the song associated with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Apollinaare’s solo performance was “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” associated with The Shirelles. The interview identifies these as the songs they performed; it does not say they sang the song “We Are Family.”

Mulroney described the appearance as his on-camera singing reveal on television. He said, “It is great to come out and then turn to your own spouse and sing right into their face,” calling the experience unusual and fun. He also said the producers approached the couple because they knew Apollinaare’s music and recognized them as a long-term couple.
Apollinaare said she and Mulroney enjoyed karaoke and music together, and described singing on television with him as an amazing experience. She said music was central to her life and that the production team made the experience easy and friendly.
