Spoilers for the final post-credits scene and an earlier event in the film. Yes, Deadpool & Wolverine has one scene after the credits. Wade returns to the TVA and plays footage that proves Johnny Storm really said the insults Wade attributed to him. The Fox-era clips shown during the credits are a separate tribute montage, not another post-credits scene.
What happens in the final post-credits scene?
After the credits, Wade Wilson is back at the TVA. He shows footage from the earlier journey to Cassandra Nova’s compound: Johnny Storm is heard saying the extravagant insults Wade later repeats to Cassandra. The footage confirms that Wade was telling the truth.

That confirmation is the punchline. Johnny had denied saying those things, but Wade’s retelling was accurate—and it helped put Johnny in Cassandra’s path. The final scene revisits an earlier moment rather than showing a new adventure after the film’s ending. TheWrap’s scene account and Nerdist’s recap describe the reveal.
Is the Fox-era montage another post-credits scene?
No. The film has two distinct credits-related sequences, and their placement and purpose differ:

- Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake yet. His days as Deadpool behind him, a listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. But when his homeworld is threatened, he reluctantly suits up as he tries to convince Wolverine? oh hell, just watch. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.
| Sequence | When it appears | What it contains | Story function |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fox-era tribute montage | During the credits | Clips, behind-the-scenes footage, film shots, and marketing material connected to 20th Century Fox’s Marvel films, set to Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” | A farewell-style tribute, not a new scene continuing the plot. |
| Wade’s final zinger | At the very end, after the credits | Wade plays TVA footage of Johnny Storm making the insults. | Pays off Wade’s earlier accusation to Cassandra Nova. |
TheWrap distinguishes the montage from the final scene; Nerdist also characterizes the last beat as an extra gag.
Why does the scene matter?
Earlier, Wade tells Cassandra that Johnny said a string of outrageous things about her. Johnny denies it, and Cassandra kills him. By revealing the footage, the ending turns the audience’s likely suspicion—that Wade invented the insults—into the joke’s reversal: Johnny really did say them.

Nerdist reads the scene as a comic payoff rather than a meaningful step in MCU serialization. The scene itself does not establish a particular future film, plotline, or character return, so speculation about what Marvel might do next should be kept separate from what the footage shows.
