What did Hank Northrop say about booking the role?
Northrop described the timing of the birthday call as meaningful in the wake of his father’s death. In his interview with TV Insider on February 14, 2025, he said: “It was so cosmic. It was almost like my dad had given me a birthday present, the first birthday after his passing, to help me through the trauma of dealing with his passing.”
His role also brought him together on screen with Reynolds, who plays Abe. Wayne Northrop had been close to the character’s story world: Soap Opera Digest noted that Abe was Roman’s police partner and friend.
