Where U.S. viewers could buy or rent it digitally

These are retail platforms, not interchangeable subscription services. In particular:
- Prime Video: A movie listing on Prime Video does not necessarily mean the film is included with an Amazon Prime subscription. A separate rental or purchase charge may apply.
- Apple TV: This is Apple’s digital movie storefront and app. It should not be confused with Apple TV+, Apple’s subscription service. Calling the movie an Apple TV+ title would be inaccurate.
- Fandango At Home: The service was formerly known as Vudu, and retailer branding may change over time.
- YouTube Movies & TV and Google Play: These may appear as separate movie-store listings depending on the device, account, and market.
Retailer availability and branding can change. For the U.S., the Marvel announcement is the best source for the launch platform list, while current prices and purchase options should be checked directly in the relevant storefront.

When did Deadpool & Wolverine arrive on Disney+?
Disney+ was not confirmed when Marvel announced the digital preorder and October 1 PVOD date on September 25, 2024. It also had not been confirmed when the movie reached paid digital stores on October 1.
Disney later announced that the film would debut on Disney+ on November 12, 2024. The announcement came on October 30, according to The Walt Disney Company.
That distinction matters because a digital-store listing and a subscription catalog listing represent two different transactions. A Prime Video customer could rent or buy the movie without the film being included in Prime. Likewise, an Apple TV listing did not mean it was part of Apple TV+.

Physical release: 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD
The physical home release arrived on October 22, 2024, three weeks after the paid digital release. The formats included 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
Physical media remains the better fit for viewers who want a disc-based collection, a 4K presentation, physical packaging, or access that is not dependent on a particular digital storefront account. It also gives collectors more edition choices, although packaging and included discs vary by retailer and territory.
The digital and physical releases should not be treated as identical packages. Marvel advertised the home release with a substantial selection of extras, including:

Release-time confusion: September 30 or October 1?
The confirmed U.S. calendar date was October 1, 2024. Some Prime Video information was reported as showing availability at 9 p.m. Pacific Time on September 30, which corresponds to midnight Eastern Time on October 1. A later report referred to 9 a.m. Pacific Time instead.
Because those secondary reports conflict, it would be misleading to state one universal release hour for every storefront and time zone. The reliable takeaway is the date. Storefronts can publish titles according to their own regional schedules, and some viewers may have seen the listing appear late on September 30 locally while others saw it on October 1.

For viewers checking suitability or parental controls, the U.S. Apple TV listing gives the following basic information:
- Runtime: Approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes. Some catalogs display approximately 2 hours and 10 minutes.
- Rating: R for strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore, and sexual references.
- Director: Shawn Levy.
- Stars: Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Matthew Macfadyen, and others.
- Theatrical release: July 26, 2024.
See the U.S. Apple TV listing for the regional runtime, rating, cast, and credits. Ratings and runtimes can differ in international catalogs.
The R rating was also part of the film’s wider release significance: it was the first MCU film released with an R rating, and Disney later announced that it had become the highest-grossing R-rated film worldwide. That context helps explain the attention around the unusually prominent home-release announcement, but it does not change the distinction between PVOD and Disney+.
