The trailer for Dashavatar, a Marathi suspense thriller, frames a murder as being blamed on a supernatural force—but the available synopsis and trailer coverage do not establish the final explanation. The film follows Babuli Mestri, a veteran performer of Dashavatari folk theatre, as his family, land and cultural legacy come under pressure.
What does the Dashavatar trailer reveal?
The supernatural element is a hook in the trailer’s framing, not a confirmed answer about what caused the murder. Scroll’s contemporaneous coverage used that premise in its headline, while the official ZEE5 descriptions focus more broadly on the collision of folk performance, faith, land, heritage and real events. Neither establishes the mystery’s resolution, so it would be misleading to identify a specific force or claim that the film confirms a paranormal cause.
ZEE5 describes Babuli as a folk theatre artist who has devoted his life to performing Dashavatar, a traditional play about Vishnu’s avatars. Its longer synopsis places a final performance in a Konkan temple courtyard and presents Babuli as confronting a threat to his family and legacy. That is the distributor’s synopsis, rather than independent confirmation of every plot detail. Read ZEE5’s film listing.
