TMZ reported that Tosh sold the west-shore property in January 2026 and had bought another home across the lake to be closer to friends; the new property’s location and price have not been disclosed in the sources reviewed.
How much did Daniel Tosh sell his Lake Tahoe home for?
The reported closing price was $10.75 million. TMZ reported on January 4, 2026, that the sale closed on January 2; a Q1 2026 review by The Moore Team also lists 1250 West Lake Boulevard as a $10.75 million closing. The sources reviewed do not include a county deed or assessor record, so the figure is attributed to those reports rather than described as independently confirmed.
The Sacramento Bee reported on August 29, 2025, that the property had been listed for $11.9 million. That was the asking price, not the reported sale price. The sources do not provide a complete listing-price history.
What was the Lake Tahoe estate like?
The gated west-shore estate was situated between Tahoe City and Sunnyside. Reports describe a 1.6-acre property with 93 feet of lake frontage, two buoys, seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms across three homes or structures.

The main homes and lakeside cabin
In TMZ’s description, the upper home had four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an elevator, a game room, an industrial ice cream maker and a four-car garage. Outdoor features included a hot tub, fire pit, bocce court and horseshoe pits.
The middle home had three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a stone fireplace, a skylit kitchen and a steam shower. A separate lakeside cabin included a studio loft and kitchenette.

The Sacramento Bee’s earlier listing coverage mentioned additional amenities, including a dry sauna, pool table, Sonos surround system, shuffleboard, bar and waterfall hot tub. It described a three-car garage, while TMZ’s later sale report described a four-car garage. The reports differ on garage capacity, and the available accounts do not explain the discrepancy.
Why did Daniel Tosh sell the property?
TMZ reported that real estate sources said Tosh bought another property across the lake to be closer to friends. The report does not identify the new home’s address, price, exact shore or buyer or seller entity, and those details are not established by the other sources reviewed.

What the sale does—and does not—say about Tahoe real estate
This is one high-value transaction, not a measure of the entire Lake Tahoe market. The Moore Team’s Q1 2026 review cautions that the basin contains distinct micro-markets and lists other lakefront closings. Comparing properties meaningfully requires more than price alone: location and shore, frontage and water access, lot size, and the number and condition of structures all matter.
The Sacramento Bee quoted listing agent Kristina Bergstrand calling it “the quintessential Lake Tahoe.” It also quoted Tosh saying, “Holidays at the lake are the only times I’m not stressed.” The Bee reported a listing quip from Tosh about a snowblower that “starts on the second pull every year”; that was humor in the listing, not a product recommendation.
