Two celebrities were eliminated on Dancing With the Stars Season 33, Episode 4: Reginald VelJohnson and Eric Roberts. The October 8, 2024 episode, titled “Hair Metal Night,” featured eleven couples dancing to rock anthems, with KISS frontman Gene Simmons joining the judges as a guest. Disney+ lists the episode as “S33:E4 Hair Metal Night.”
What happened on Hair Metal Night?
The show opened with a number to KISS’s “Rock and Roll All Nite,” choreographed by Pasha Pashkov and featuring Whitesnake guitarist Joel Hoekstra. The episode’s song choices drew on hair-metal-era acts including Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Poison, Warrant and Scorpions. Simmons joined the regular judges for the evening.

Who was eliminated?

They danced a cha-cha to Twisted Sister’s “I Wanna Rock.” TV Insider characterized the routine as light on steps and reported that the pair was eliminated. The recap also noted that VelJohnson had undergone knee replacement the year before; that is context reported by the outlet, not an independent medical assessment.
Eric Roberts and Britt Stewart
They performed a paso doble to Warrant’s “Cherry Pie.” The recap reported a low score and their elimination, and said Roberts was still dealing with effects of a serious car accident. That health detail is likewise attributed to TV Insider.
