They were an early preview—not the complete seasonal schedule—covering a career-change isekai, a high-concept harem comedy, a school romantic comedy and a supernatural mystery sequel.
Crunchyroll’s Winter 2025 anime news began with four January titles revealed at its October 12, 2024 industry panel at SOFA Colombia: Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!, Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You Season 2, and Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2.
Those announcements explain the original “isekai, harem and more” framing. They covered a career-change fantasy, a supernatural dating comedy, a school romantic comedy and a mystery-driven supernatural sequel. They were an early preview rather than Crunchyroll’s complete Winter 2025 schedule: the broader seasonal lineup was published on December 13, 2024, and updated through January 31, 2025.

The four SOFA Colombia announcements
Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four!
This series takes the isekai setup in a workplace-oriented direction. Uchimura Dennosuke is an ordinary salaryman who is recruited by the Demon King’s army and appointed as one of the Four Heavenly Kings. He does not arrive with the usual overwhelming combat ability. Instead, his practical knowledge and problem-solving experience become the basis for his new role.
Crunchyroll described it as a “career change isekai.” That distinction is useful: the central appeal is not simply watching a modern person become powerful in another world, but seeing office and management skills applied to the Demon King’s organization.
The Japanese television broadcast began on January 1, 2025, and Crunchyroll included the series in its Winter 2025 simulcast plans. The anime adapts the isekai fantasy manga by Muramitsu and Benigashira. Readers who want the source material can look for Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! Vol. 1, the English-language physical edition listed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You Season 2
This was the clearest match for the headline’s “harem” description. Rentaro Aijo has already been rejected 100 times when he learns that he is destined to meet 100 soulmates. The catch is extreme: he must return the love of each destined girlfriend, or the consequences are fatal.

Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Season 2 continues that deliberately excessive romantic predicament. The premise gives the show a much larger ensemble than a conventional school rom-com, while its supernatural rules create the pressure behind Rentaro’s relationships. Crunchyroll announced the season for January 2025 as part of the SOFA Colombia presentation.
The anime is adapted from the manga written by Rikito Nakamura and illustrated by Yukiko Nozawa. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes the English-language manga in North America through its Ghost Ship imprint. For readers who prefer to continue or revisit the story on paper, The 100 Girlfriends manga in English is the most direct source-material tie-in among the four featured announcements. Availability of individual volumes can vary by retailer and region.
Medaka Kuroiwa Is Impervious to My Charms
Mona Kawai is accustomed to attracting attention at school, but her usual confidence is shaken when transfer student Medaka Kuroiwa appears unaffected by her charm. The resulting story is a school romantic comedy built around Mona’s attempts to understand—and overcome—the one person who does not respond as expected.

The series is based on Ran Kuze’s manga, which is published in English by Kodansha USA. It is a romantic-comedy recommendation rather than a conventional action or isekai show, and its hook depends on the contrast between Mona’s established popularity and Medaka’s refusal to be impressed.
Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2
The second season returns to Kamome Academy, where supernatural rumors are not merely rumors. Nene Yashiro and Kou Minamoto work with Hanako-san to investigate the school’s Seven Wonders, including the suspicion that a traitor may be hiding among them.
That premise gives Season 2 a different flavor from the other SOFA titles: it combines school fantasy, character drama and an ongoing mystery. Viewers interested in the source material can find Toilet-bound Hanako-kun manga volumes from Yen Press, which maintains the English-language series catalog and individual print-volume listings.
Crunchyroll listed the season as a January 2025 release and later confirmed a January 12, 2025 premiere at 2:00 a.m. Pacific Time for its listed territories. The exact availability list matters because streaming rights are geographic; a January premiere announcement should not be read as a guarantee that every viewer worldwide received access at the same time.

The timeline has three separate points that are easy to blur together:
- October 12, 2024: Crunchyroll announced the four featured January titles during its SOFA Colombia industry panel.
- December 13, 2024: Crunchyroll published its broader Winter 2025 seasonal lineup.
- January 31, 2025: Crunchyroll updated that seasonal article with additional information, including You and Idol Precure.
The first announcement was therefore a preview of the season, not a complete list of every anime Crunchyroll would carry. Release dates also differ from streaming dates: a Japanese broadcast premiere, a Crunchyroll simulcast start and the time an episode becomes available to Premium members can be separate milestones.

The wider Crunchyroll Winter 2025 lineup
The completed seasonal picture was considerably larger than the four SOFA Colombia reveals. Crunchyroll’s Winter 2025 article included new and returning series such as:
- Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-
- The Apothecary Diaries Season 2
- Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE
- I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths!
- I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time
- I Want to Escape from Princess Lessons
It also included continuing Winter 2025 simulcasts, notably Shangri-La Frontier Season 2 and Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3. The season received additional attention from Crunchyroll’s own podcast coverage, which discussed shows including Re:ZERO, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, Shangri-La Frontier, Dragon Ball DAIMA and The Apothecary Diaries.

Dubbed programming was part of the strategy as well. The seasonal coverage specifically highlighted the English dub stream for Dragon Ball DAIMA, alongside the larger mix of new series, returning seasons and continuing weekly releases.

Availability and territory caveats
Crunchyroll’s announcements used territory-specific availability lists, and those lists were not identical for every title. They generally covered large portions of North, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS, but “generally” is not the same as worldwide availability.
A viewer should check the current Crunchyroll listing for their country before assuming that a title, subtitle option, dub or episode schedule is available. Subscription level can also affect access timing: for example, Crunchyroll’s reporting on Medaka Kuroiwa identified the first episode as available to Premium members in multiple territories. The dates above identify the Japanese premiere or the specifically announced release time, not a universal global release guarantee.

All four featured anime are adaptations of manga, but the English publishing paths differ:
Recommended Free Tools
- The 100 Girlfriends: Seven Seas Entertainment’s Ghost Ship imprint publishes the English-language edition in North America. This is the strongest physical-manga match for the article’s harem-focused angle.
- Toilet-bound Hanako-kun: Yen Press publishes the English series and offers a catalog of print volumes, beginning with Volume 1 and continuing through later installments.
- Headhunted to Another World: Seven Seas lists an English physical edition, including Headhunted to Another World: From Salaryman to Big Four! Vol. 1.
- Medaka Kuroiwa: Kodansha USA publishes Ran Kuze’s manga in English.
Physical availability, release schedules and regional editions can change, so readers should verify the volume number, format and language before ordering. The manga is best treated as a way to explore the source stories rather than as proof that every anime episode is already covered in print.

Why the Winter 2025 announcement mattered
The SOFA Colombia panel gave only a partial view of Crunchyroll’s plans, but the four titles showed the range of the coming season. Headhunted to Another World offered an office-skills twist on isekai fantasy; The 100 Girlfriends pushed ensemble harem comedy to an intentionally extreme premise; Medaka Kuroiwa focused on a familiar popularity-versus-indifference romantic-comedy setup; and Toilet-bound Hanako-kun brought back a supernatural school mystery.
The later full lineup added major sequels, continuing simulcasts and dubbed programming. Taken together, the announcements were less a final four-show schedule than an early signal of a broad Winter 2025 slate.
