Crunchyroll announced on September 22, 2023, that Right Stuf’s online storefront would transition to Crunchyroll Store beginning October 10, 2023. The change folded an anime retailer into Crunchyroll’s broader merchandise operation; it was not a new October 2026 event. [Crunchyroll’s announcement]
What happened to Right Stuf Anime?
Crunchyroll acquired Right Stuf in 2022. The company described the retailer as an online anime superstore and said the e-commerce expansion would serve fans and collectors with manga, home video, figures, games, music, and related products. [Crunchyroll’s acquisition announcement]

In September 2023, Crunchyroll said the Right Stuf storefront would transition into Crunchyroll Store. That meant the Right Stuf retail site was being integrated into Crunchyroll’s store—not that the underlying categories were limited to streaming subscriptions or digital content.
When did the Right Stuf storefront close?
The transition was announced September 22, 2023, and was scheduled to start October 10, 2023. The original headline’s “in October” refers to that 2023 transition, not an upcoming 2026 closure.

What happened to existing Right Stuf orders and preorders?
During the transition, Crunchyroll’s Right Stuf order FAQ said open orders and preorders would continue to be processed and fulfilled by Right Stuf. It also said each store would process its own returns. This was transition guidance at the time; it should not be treated as a guarantee about every later order or today’s support and return procedures. [Crunchyroll Help Center: Right Stuf Order FAQ]
Can you still buy anime Blu-rays from Crunchyroll?
Crunchyroll’s acquisition announcement included home video among the categories in Right Stuf’s assortment. But the later Crunchyroll Store catalog was reported to be more limited in physical media. In August 2026, GamesRadar+ reported that the relaunched store lacked books and had a reduced selection of Blu-ray and DVD products. That is a dated report, not a live inventory check; a specific title or edition may or may not be listed now. [GamesRadar+ report on the August 2026 store relaunch]

Do you need a Crunchyroll membership to shop?
In July 2026, GamesRadar+ reported that the planned August store experience would let Fan subscribers browse, while Mega and Ultimate members could make purchases. These are time-specific details from secondary reporting, not confirmation of the store’s current terms. Check the store’s own current membership and purchase requirements before relying on them. Right Stuf’s disappearance as a separate storefront does not establish that every item it carried is available elsewhere. For the particular manga volume, collectible, or home-video release you want, check the details that determine whether a substitute actually works for you:

- Elfen Lied Complete Collection [Blu-Ray]
- Product match: Confirm the exact volume, edition, format, or collectible rather than relying on a broad category listing.
- Shipping: Check whether the retailer ships to your country or region and what delivery options apply.
- Preorders and returns: Read the retailer’s current rules for cancellations, delays, returns, and preorder fulfillment.
- Membership: Verify whether browsing or purchasing requires an account or paid membership.
These terms and stock levels can vary by retailer and change over time, so confirm them directly before ordering.
