Coldplay’s official tour page says there are no dates currently scheduled as of October 8, 2026. The band has not confirmed a return date or a new venue in the sources available here. Its official tour page is the place to check for announcements.
Are there any upcoming Coldplay tour dates?
No. As of October 8, 2026, Coldplay’s official tour page states, “There are no dates currently scheduled.” That is a point-in-time status, not a promise that the band will not tour again. No 2027 return or other future dates are confirmed by the sources cited here; check the official tour page for changes and any signup option it currently offers.
What was the Music of the Spheres World Tour?
Coldplay announced the stadium tour on October 14, 2021, as a live counterpart to its album Music of the Spheres. The original announcement listed an opening date of March 18, 2022, in Costa Rica, followed by dates across Latin America, North America and Europe. That announcement explains the tour’s origin; it is not a current schedule or evidence of future ticket availability. In announcing the run, the band said that playing live and connecting with people was “ultimately why we exist as a band.” (Coldplay’s 2021 tour announcement.)
What did Coldplay report about the tour’s environmental impact?
In a 2024 update, Coldplay said the tour’s direct CO2e emissions per show were 59% lower during its first two years than on the band’s 2016–17 stadium tour. The band said MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative verified the comparison. The figure covers direct touring emissions—not the full climate impact of attending a concert—and excludes audience travel to and from venues. It is a comparison for the stated period and baseline, not a measurement of every later show.

Coldplay also said Hope Solutions collated its assessments and MIT’s Environmental Solutions Initiative reviewed and quality-assured the data and methodology. MIT professor John E. Fernández described the analysis as evidence of “substantial progress” in reducing touring emissions. The band’s update also notes that the live-music sector has no industry-wide standard or centrally mandated method for reporting emissions, an important limit when interpreting the result or comparing it with figures from other tours. Coldplay separately reported app-derived estimates for fan travel: one-third of audience members used public transport, and the average carbon footprint per traveller was 48% lower than on the previous tour. Those are distinct measures from the 59% direct-emissions comparison; they do not mean audience travel was included in that figure.
How did the tour approach power, materials and waste?
Coldplay describes these as elements of the tour’s sustainability approach. The measures are band-reported descriptions, and do not establish that every venue used identical equipment or power sources.

Power
The band describes using solar panels during show build-up, renewable diesel (HVO), a mobile rechargeable battery system using recyclable BMW i3 batteries, kinetic dance floors and power bikes, and renewable grid power where available. Its power overview gives the band’s account of those measures.
Stage materials and wristbands
Coldplay says its stage uses lightweight, low-carbon and reusable materials, including recycled steel. It also describes collecting, sterilising and recharging audience LED wristbands; the band says that reuse reduced wristband production by 80%. Its sustainability page gives an average return rate above 85%, while the separate 2024 update reports an 86% average return and reuse rate. Those figures belong to their respective source contexts. Waste and waterways
The band says it works with venues to reduce single-use plastic water bottles and set up stadium recycling programs. It also describes tour support for The Ocean Cleanup’s River Interceptors. These are reported initiatives, not a claim that all waste was eliminated; the 72% landfill-diversion figure is the separate 2024 tour-wide figure. Coldplay’s waste overview outlines its approach.

At present, there is no confirmed date, venue or ticket option to plan around. Avoid treating old tour listings or speculation about a future year as a confirmed announcement. For official updates, use Coldplay’s tour page and any signup offered there. The 2021 announcement links the tour to the Music of the Spheres album, but it does not establish current album-format availability or ticket inventory.
