Five classic cartoon listings to look for on Tubi
The following titles had Tubi catalog pages accessed on October 4, 2026. That date is a snapshot, not a guarantee that a title will still be available when you visit. Follow each link to check its current listing and whether playback is offered in your location.
Betty Boop
Tubi’s Betty Boop listing is a one-season collection of shorts grouped by years from 1933 through 1939, and it carries a TV-G rating. The page names shorts including “Betty Boop’s Ker-choo,” “Betty in Blunderland,” “Poor Cinderella,” “Swat the Fly,” and “Musical Mountaineers.” This is a selection of shorts, not a promise that every Betty Boop cartoon is included.
Popeye Classic Cartoons
Tubi lists Popeye Classic Cartoons as a 1937 Kids & Family title with a runtime of 1 hour 5 minutes and a TV-G rating. The listing says Singa Home Entertainment shares memorable cartoons and names Max Fleischer as director. Treat it as a particular compilation, not the complete theatrical Popeye library.
Looney Tunes
Tubi’s Looney Tunes page describes a 13-season series of compilations, with shorts spanning the 1930s through the 2000s. The listing carries a TV-PG rating, so do not assume every short is appropriate for every child. In an editorial dated June 15, 2026, Tubi reported an availability window through August 14, 2029. Check the live page: that date is Tubi’s published window, not a guarantee against catalog changes.
Tom and Jerry Theatricals
Tubi’s Tom and Jerry Theatricals listing is a TV-PG series dated 1964, with nine seasons and short compilations including “Carmen Get It,” “Car of Tomorrow,” “Cat Concerto,” and “Cat Fishin’.” Tubi’s June 2026 editorial reported an availability window through August 31, 2027. Verify the current listing and window before relying on that date.

Tom & Jerry (Van Beuren)
This separate Tubi listing is for Van Beuren’s earlier Tom and Jerry duo—not the familiar cat-and-mouse pair in Tom and Jerry Theatricals. Its page describes compilations from 1930 to 1933, including “The Haunted Ship,” “Jungle Jazz,” “A Swiss Trick,” and “The Tuba Tooter.” Check the listing’s details so you select the series you actually want.
Why this guide has five picks, not twelve
The title’s “12” is not a count supported by twelve independently detailed current listings. Tubi’s Kid Friendly Classics category showed The Scooby-Doo Show, The Flintstones, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and The Powerpuff Girls as discovery leads, but category placement alone does not establish that an individual show page is playable now. Tubi’s June 15, 2026 cartoon editorial also discusses Animaniacs and The Yogi Bear Show; it says Animaniacs is available until further notice. These are worth checking directly, but they are not counted here as confirmed picks.

- Movie dvd
A GamesRadar+ report published February 16, 2026 said Tubi planned March additions from Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network, naming shows such as Tom & Jerry, Wacky Races, Teen Titans, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and The Powerpuff Girls. Its report of 100 cartoons described the announced scale, not a count independently confirmed by Tubi or proof that those titles remain available now. Check the report for context, then rely on current Tubi title pages for viewing decisions.
What “free” means, and what to check first
- No added subscription charge: Free here means streaming through an ad-supported service; it does not mean ad-free viewing.
- Catalogs can change: Listings, licensing windows, supported apps, and geographic access may change. Check the title page just before watching; treat any end date as a service-reported date.
- Ratings are title-specific: The cited Betty Boop and Popeye listings are TV-G, while Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry Theatricals are TV-PG. Check the rating and content details on the current page for the specific title.
- A streaming stick is optional: Tubi links to multiple app destinations, including Amazon Fire. Use a supported device or web access if available to you; buying a particular device is not required by these listings.
A brief note on Betty Boop and public domain
Availability on Tubi and copyright status are separate questions. The Associated Press reported that Betty Boop’s first appearance and three other Betty Boop cartoons entered the U.S. public domain on January 1, 2026. That applies to the works identified in the report; it does not establish that every Betty Boop cartoon, later character design, or trademark is public domain, or that the same rules apply in other countries. Read the AP report for the specific works and context.
