Tubi has become a new free-with-ads home for a growing selection of classic Cartoon Network and Warner Bros. animation. Tubi has become a new free-with-ads destination for a growing selection of classic Cartoon Network, Hanna-Barbera, and Warner Bros. animated shows. The first reported wave arrived on March 1, 2026, bringing recognizable favorites such as The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Courage the Cowardly Dog to a legal streaming service that does not require another monthly subscription.
The catalog is not a complete Cartoon Network archive, and availability can change by licensing territory and date. Still, for viewers who have struggled to find these shows on major subscription platforms, Tubi’s rollout offers one of the clearest free ways to revisit part of the network’s classic library.
Which classic Cartoon Network shows are on Tubi?
The first widely reported Cartoon Network wave included:

- Dexter’s Laboratory
- Ed, Edd n Eddy
- Courage the Cowardly Dog
- Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends
- Codename: Kids Next Door
The initial collection also included associated specials and other Warner Bros. animation. That makes the deal more significant than a single nostalgia title: it gives viewers a way to build an afternoon or weekend watchlist from several different eras of Cartoon Network programming.
More Cartoon Network and Kids WB favorites followed
Tubi’s catalog continued to expand after the March launch. A later 2026 wave was reported to include The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Grim and Evil, Freakazoid!, Mucha Lucha!, Beetlejuice, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. It also included Codename: Kids Next Door – Operation Z.E.R.O. and additional specials or related titles.
That later group broadens the selection beyond the most frequently requested Cartoon Network classics. It includes shows associated with Cartoon Network, Kids WB, and the wider Warner Bros. animation catalog, so the most accurate description is a growing collection of related classic animation rather than “the entire Cartoon Network library.”

Why Tubi’s move matters
Many older animated series have become surprisingly difficult to watch legally. Some disappear from subscription services, some rotate in and out of catalogs, and others are split between different digital storefronts or services. As a result, recognizing a show from childhood does not necessarily mean finding it is easy.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Its ad-supported model lets viewers watch without paying a subscription fee, making the service useful for people who do not want to add another monthly entertainment bill just to revisit a few older series.
There are two important limits. First, “free” means free with advertising, not commercial-free. Second, streaming rights are temporary and often vary by country. A show listed in the United States may not be available in another region, and a title available now may later leave or change its presentation. Check Tubi’s current listing before planning a marathon around a particular series or special.

How to watch the classic cartoons on Tubi
In the United States, Tubi can be accessed through a web browser and through apps for many common devices, including:
- Android and iOS phones and tablets
- Roku
- Apple TV
- Android TV
- Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick
- Xbox and PlayStation consoles
- Compatible smart-TV platforms
The simplest approach is to check whether Tubi is already available on the television, streaming box, console, or smart-TV platform you own. Tubi recommends keeping both its app and the device’s operating system updated, which can help when an app is missing features or fails to load correctly.

Watching Tubi on a television without the app
If your television does not already support Tubi, a compatible streaming device can add the service without requiring a new television. An Amazon Fire TV Stick is one option: Tubi’s documented setup process allows users to install the latest Tubi channel through Amazon’s Appstore on supported Fire TV hardware.

Buying a stick is optional, however. Check your existing smart-TV software, Roku device, Apple TV, game console, or other streaming hardware first. The hardware does not unlock exclusive Cartoon Network content; it simply provides another way to run the Tubi app on a television.
What viewers should check before starting a marathon
- Search Tubi directly. Look up the exact show name rather than assuming every title in the announcement remains listed.
- Confirm your region. Catalogs can differ outside the United States and can change as licensing agreements are updated.
- Expect advertising. Tubi’s no-subscription price is supported by ads.
- Distinguish versions and specials. Ben 10 refers here to the 2005 animated series, while titles such as Operation Z.E.R.O. are separate specials or features.
- Update the app and device. This is particularly useful if Tubi is installed but playback or browsing is not working properly.
The bottom line for Cartoon Network fans
Tubi is not a permanent replacement for every Cartoon Network streaming destination, nor does it provide the network’s complete historical catalog. It is nevertheless a meaningful new home for a substantial and expanding group of familiar shows, including The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.
For viewers in supported regions, the main attraction is straightforward: these shows can be watched legally without adding a subscription, as long as the viewer is willing to watch advertisements and understands that availability can change.
