Sandfall Interactive announced its free Thank You update for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on December 12, 2025, following the game’s nine wins at The Game Awards 2025. Its headline addition is Verso’s Drafts, a new playable area, alongside late-game battles, Photo Mode, new equipment and cosmetics, more language options, and quality-of-life and performance improvements.
What is in the Thank You update?
The update expands the game with a new area and a mix of combat, customization, accessibility, and technical additions. Sandfall described the release as a thank-you to the community after a landmark year for the game.
Verso’s Drafts
The main addition is Verso’s Drafts, a new playable environment connected to young Verso and presented as a storybook adventure. It includes new environments, battles, cutscenes, and music by composer Lorien Testard. Guillaume Broche, Sandfall’s founder and creative director, called it “a brand-new level” with “new environments to explore, battles to fight, and plenty of surprises to discover.” PlayStation.Blog has Broche’s full account of the area.
New battles and equipment
The update adds late-game boss encounters in the Endless Tower. It also includes 13 new weapons and 16 additional Luminas, along with new Pictos. These additions give players more equipment and build options; they are part of the free update, not a separately announced paid expansion.
