The contemporaneous reports establish that Lange was part of her contracting team and that Haack praised his help with her Christmas tree; they do not establish a romance. Haack objected to coworkers’ photos being treated as dating announcements.
Who was in Christina Haack’s photo?
The man was identified in contemporaneous entertainment coverage as Michael Lange, a contractor who worked with Haack on television projects. A PEOPLE-sourced report said Haack shared an Instagram Stories photo with him at a garden center on December 4, 2024, posing with their arms around one another. Her reported caption was “Putting in the work!” PEOPLE
Why did Haack call him a “good man”?
The phrase came from an earlier post, not the garden-center caption. On December 2, Haack reportedly shared a Story showing a helper beneath her 11-foot Christmas tree and tagged Lange. The reported caption read: “There are still good men left. One of them right here single handedly hoisted this 11 foot tree into my home. Appreciate you.” The report connected her praise to his work getting the tree into her home. Yahoo Entertainment
Did Haack say she was dating Lange?
No. The cited reports do not establish that Haack and Lange were dating. On December 5, Haack pushed back on people treating photos with male coworkers as relationship news. Us Weekly quoted her saying: “I should be able to post pictures with my MARRIED male friends and male coworkers without it being an ‘OMG look who she’s dating’ thing,” followed by: “So bizarre and ridiculous.” Us Weekly

Another coworker appeared in the posts
TV Insider reported that Haack also shared a photo with Christina on the Coast build producer Dalton Short and called him “Another good man right here,” praising his work. That reported post adds context to the wave of coworker shout-outs; it does not establish anything about Haack’s romantic life. TV Insider
What the reports establish—and what they don’t
- Reported: Haack posted about Lange’s help with an 11-foot tree on December 2, then shared a garden-center photo with him on December 4.
- Reported: Her captions praised his practical help and work.
- Not established: That the photos announced a relationship. Haack explicitly objected to that interpretation.
The Instagram Stories were temporary posts, so these details come from contemporaneous outlet accounts and quoted captions rather than independently verified, still-available posts. They describe events in December 2024, not Haack’s current relationship status.
