The Chiefs-Ravens game was played on Thursday, September 5, 2024—it is not a current live event. Kansas City defeated Baltimore 27–20 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. At the time, the legal free video option was local NBC received over the air with an antenna, provided your address could receive the NBC affiliate carrying the game. Peacock was the official online stream, but it was a paid service unless a qualifying promotion or trial applied. If you want to watch the game now, use the official NFL schedule and replay link, then check the current access requirements.
Quick answer: what worked for free?
There was no source-supported, always-free official internet livestream of the 2024 Chiefs-Ravens game. The clearest legal free video route was:
- Have an indoor or outdoor antenna capable of receiving your local NBC station.
- Confirm that the NBC affiliate in your area carried the NFL Kickoff Game.
- Watch the broadcast over the air without a Peacock subscription or monthly streaming fee.
That is free television reception—not a free online stream. Signal strength, distance from the station, terrain, building materials, and antenna placement all affect whether it works.
What happened and when?
The game took place on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Kickoff was listed as 7:20 p.m. Central in the Chiefs’ official game guide. NBC Sports’ same-day coverage began at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, including pregame programming. The final score was Chiefs 27, Ravens 20.

Option 1: Watch NBC free with an antenna
If your local NBC affiliate was available at your address, an antenna was the most accurate answer to “watch the game for free.” A one-time purchase such as an indoor HDTV antenna can receive local over-the-air broadcasts without a monthly subscription. Outdoor or attic antennas may perform better in difficult reception areas.
Before buying, check local NBC reception for your address. An antenna does not guarantee reception, and an indoor model may struggle in an apartment, a basement, a heavily obstructed neighborhood, or a market where the NBC transmitter is far away. Rescanning the television after connecting the antenna and trying a window-facing position can also help.
Peacock’s NFL viewing guidance explains that viewers whose antenna receives their local NBC station can watch NBC programming without using Peacock. That distinction matters: the antenna gives you the broadcast signal, while Peacock is an internet streaming service.

For an older television, an optional streaming media player can make paid services easier to use, but it does not create a free stream and is not required for the antenna route.

Option 2: Peacock—the official online video stream
NBC Sports listed Peacock as the official streaming destination for the game, alongside NBC television. Peacock should be treated as a paid streaming service unless a particular, time-limited promotion or trial was available to the viewer at that time.
Do not describe the 2024 game as permanently free on Peacock. A free trial, introductory offer, or other promotion can expire, require payment details, or vary by eligibility. The relevant plan and price should always be checked directly with Peacock rather than inferred from an old game-day article.
Peacock was the straightforward online option for viewers who wanted live video at the time of the game, but it was not the same as a free internet broadcast. If you are watching a different NFL game today, its rights and availability may be different.

Option 3: NFL+ for mobile viewing
The Chiefs’ 2024 guide promoted NFL+ for live local and primetime games on phones and tablets and mentioned a possible seven-day free trial. NFL’s product documentation describes NFL+ as a subscription service that includes live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games on supported mobile devices.

That means NFL+ was not an unconditional free stream. A trial may have allowed an eligible new subscriber to watch without an immediate subscription charge, but trial terms, renewal rules, supported devices, and availability can change. Check the current NFL+ offer before signing up, and cancel according to the service’s terms if you do not want a paid renewal.
For the 2024 season, NFL+ was most relevant to viewers who wanted to watch on a phone or tablet. It should not be presented as a guaranteed way to watch every game on a television or computer.
Option 4: Listen free or with limited access
If video is not essential, radio was a legitimate alternative. The Ravens’ official guide listed:
Recommended Free Tools
- WBAL and 98Rock for local Baltimore coverage;
- Westwood One for national radio;
- SiriusXM channels for satellite and streaming audio, subject to the service’s access rules; and
- a live radio stream through BaltimoreRavens.com for desktop users and the Ravens mobile app for in-market users.
NFL+ also offers live home, away, and national audio broadcasts. Radio can be free in some local or web-access situations, but it is not a substitute for live video and may be restricted by market or platform.

Watching the Chiefs-Ravens game now
Because the game is over, the useful current route is a replay rather than a livestream. The NFL’s 2024 Kansas City schedule records the result and provides a Watch Replay link. Open the official Kansas City schedule, locate the September 5 Ravens game, and follow the replay option shown there.
Do not assume that the full replay is currently free. NFL+ Premium documentation says the premium tier includes full-game, condensed, and All-22 replays, but access to a particular historical game can depend on the current product, account status, device, and geographic rules. The official page is the best place to verify whether you need an NFL account or an active plan.

What not to use
Avoid websites, IPTV packages, social-media accounts, embedded video players, and “free stream” pages that claim to rebroadcast the game without identifying an authorized rights holder. They may be unauthorized, disappear during the broadcast, expose viewers to deceptive advertising or malware, or collect payment information under misleading terms.

International viewers
The Chiefs’ 2024 guide stated that NFL Game Pass International offered all 256 games live outside the United States, Canada, and China, subject to blackout restrictions in the United Kingdom and Ireland. That was the 2024 distribution arrangement, not a promise about the service’s current name, rights, price, or availability in every country.
International rights change by season and territory. Viewers outside the United States should check the NFL’s current international provider for their country before relying on an old Game Pass reference. The U.S. NBC, Peacock, and local-antenna advice does not automatically apply abroad.
Frequently Asked Questions
Was the Chiefs vs. Ravens 2024 game free to stream online?
Not through a universally free official internet stream supported by the available sources. Peacock was the official online destination but was generally paid, while NFL+ required a subscription or qualifying trial. The strongest free legal video option was receiving the local NBC broadcast over the air with an antenna.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Can I still watch the full Chiefs-Ravens game?
Start with the Watch Replay link on the NFL’s 2024 Kansas City schedule. NFL+ Premium documentation includes full-game replays, but access to this particular historical game may require a current plan and can vary by location, account, and device.
Could I watch the game with an antenna?
Yes, if your antenna could receive the local NBC affiliate carrying the game. Reception is address-specific, so check local NBC availability and be prepared to adjust antenna placement or use a stronger outdoor or attic antenna.
Was NFL+ free?
NFL+ was a paid subscription service. The 2024 Chiefs guide mentioned a seven-day free trial, but trial eligibility and terms were not universal and could lead to a paid renewal if not canceled under the service’s rules.
The Bottom Line
Bottom line: The Chiefs-Ravens matchup was played on September 5, 2024, so there is no current live broadcast to join. At the time, the only clearly free legal video route was a local NBC signal received with an antenna. Peacock was the official online stream, NFL+ offered subscription-based mobile access, and radio provided an audio alternative. For viewing now, use the official NFL replay link and verify the current access requirements rather than assuming the replay is free.
